Was really pleased to see that the site old bank in Maghull was finally developed into a restaurant. And they’ve done a great job. Went with my wife & son Saturday 29th March, initial impression were great, they’ve incorporated some of the old features of the bank into the décor, including the safe!

It’s a small plate menu, and we had 9 between the 3 of us. Hummus and flat bread might sound pretty basic, but served with warm, homemade bread it hits different, lovely Chicken, Jalapeno Pizzette, was lovely and fresh. Didn’t try the pastas, that’s for next time. Some of the other standout dishes were: Scallops with Stornoway Black Pudding and Chorizo 10/10! Seabass, Creamed Cavalo Nero, Crushed Potatoes, lovely crispy skin on the super fresh sea bass.

They’ve clearly got a very skilled kitchen team and I’m looking forward to working my way through the rest of the menu!

Went for Sunday roast and it was amazing. Staff are lovely, maybe not enough of them for a Sunday rush - had a bit of a wait to have plates cleared after mains but otherwise great. Music slightly loud but probably just personal preference, can be a bit overwhelming with the noise of a busy restaurant too. It was cash only - big sign as you walk in so not a surprise and cash machine nearby - would have been good to know before arrival though as the cash machine charges, and cash machines aren’t always working. They said they’d knock the charge off the bill but they didn’t. It didn’t affect the food so just reflected this in the tip. Lovely wine and decent draught beer. I’ve just been to this beautiful restaurant Called HOME ..me my mate orded tapas The ribs sensational meatballs on another level .scallops fresh plumb and Devine It was wow all the way !! Met John the owner .who is so down to earth .and lovey .chefs are very dedicated food is stunning ! !prices are great
