Halfway House — Restaurant in Sevenoaks

Came in for a catch up with friends one evening recently. I was absolutely appalled by a member of staff that was claiming he was the manager, believe his name was James. He was throwing his weight around, rude to the staff working and also rude and very foul mouthed towards customers, certainly something you wouldn’t expect from a manager. We came in for food and a drink, but after seeing some food come out of the kitchen looking like it had been reheated and thrown together scruffily and overhearing a rowdy bunch at the bar saying the food was so overpriced that they’d be ordering a deliveroo to the pub, we decided to cut our losses and leave. We certainly won’t be coming back unfortunately as much as I want to support local, as the atmosphere created by this so called manager was actually sickening. I never leave reviews anywhere… but after my night at the Halfway House it would be rude not too!

I was first greeted with very friendly bar staff and had a cold one in my hand in the space of 15 seconds, which for my fellow Brits is what we’re looking for! - Special Mentions: Ramon was fantastic and very patient with me and my mate (after a few drinks… which is not easy!) and I have to say he makes a mean baby Guinness too haha.

But overall great pub, friendly people and they have games/activities to have a crack at as well all for free!

The Halfway House in Sevenoaks is a good pub in every sense of the word. It offers a nice selection of beers, with the Guinness standing out as particularly good—poured to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, thanks in no small part to the lovely girls behind the bar, who are both friendly and attentive.
