Nice pub, friendly staff Shepard Neame so a good selection of beers. Stops serving food at 6pm on a sunday. Good for anyone disabled with separate disabled toilet and easy access to pub and garden without steps. Toilets where clean and did not smell. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice size garden with lots of tables and parking. Well worth a visit if you like the look of the menu.

Our daughter has recently moved to this area. The Royal Oak is a few mins walk. So glad it open we love a drink or lunch when visiting. The bbq lunch is fab very well Priced great food and the service shears so friendly. The jerk chicken is particularly great. Our daughter lives her new local country pub.

Really lovely quite pub where you can have dinner with family and friends. There is a little garden with a children playground. The food is very nice and tasty. The cauliflower cheese is so delicious, we had it twice. Highly recommended. And the waitress is very welcoming and nice.

Went based on reviews Menu very basic but food ok nothing worth a special trip for but very very good fries I have to say. Staff friendly & nice. But Covid measures mean nothing here no one working had a mask on few costomers did either & staff have no idea what socal distancing is & I mean stretch across table so there face is next to yours to put food on table lean in close to tell you something nice people but no idea of personal space or social distancing is. We left after watching lass behind bar wipe her nose on back of her hand and keep serving we couldn't get out quick enough I'm...

We've had dinner at the Royal Oak seven or eight times, now. It's an unpretentious, proper pub, with warm welcome and atmosphere and decent beers, but the star of the show is the food. We've had amazing skate, French onion soup to die for, proper cod and chips, venison that's out of this world, a delicate plaice, and of course, the "filth" burger, which is divine. Not to be missed. You could pay a lot more for much worse food in some of the supposedly top restaurants in London. We're about to move out of the area, and we'll be coming...

Went in for a meal while staying at Brandshatch Place Hotel and Spa. The Royal Oak is very handy for the hotel and for a Brandshatch circuit. The bar atmosphere was great, some car themed decorations, otherwise traditional, but open and warm. We ate in the small tabled section which is quieter and not quite as comfortable, but still good. The food was lovely, generous and reasonable value. The antipasti was great and their filthy burger was fairly heavy, but tasty. The house merlot was lovely, great value....
