Really nice ambiance! I really enjoyed the little kinda vintage shop inside from where you can buy candles, handmade lip balm, tote bags etc. Really liked the small wooden house where you can sit and have a coffee! There is a little garden with colourful flowers. 3 🌟 because of the staff! Why? 1. I and my partner chose the best cute table near the little garden. I went inside to look at the shop. My partner asked the woman who was also on the till to clean it cause it was dirty and she said to her if we can sit on another table! I mean what?!?! Anyways we stayed on the same table which was wiped with nothing else but a little clot having in mind that we are in a pandemic maybe she could use at least wet wipe.. so basically not very Covid safe unfortunately! 2.After that we had to ordered on the till our food cause they are not doing table service, they don't have menus too, which is fine. After that another woman came to deliver the food and I had egg on my focaccia which was not mentioned on the little black board inside so I was like very confused and she was even more confused I think. So I had to go inside and show her that this particular dish doesn't contain any eggs she looked confused and said "so you don't want the egg" .. Well no because 1st I hate eggs and second it is not mentioned as an ingredient! Anyways it was not her fault and she was actually really nice and apologised like 5 times! They just need to learn their menu! 3. So the right food came and it was delicious but not worth almost £8. 4. And the most SHOCKING thing... When we were about to leave we saw the beautiful, bespoke cakes inside so we decided to get a piece of cake, go to Crooks Valley Park and eat it there. So I asked the same woman (who asked us to sit on another table) if she can put the piece of cake in a takeaway box(they had plenty) not in a paper bag cause i could easily put the box in my bag and she said "no because if you want a box you have to buy 2 slices" Whaaaaat?!?!?! I was literally 🤐 .I didn't know what to say like what is that kind of service? I was even happy to pay for the box. So I ended up holding the bag the whole way to crooks valley park cause I wanted to eat it not smashed!!! To sum up: PROS- really nice and calm atmosphere, cute little shop inside with great hand made stuff, great wooden house, nice coffee, delicious food, (but expensive for the size you get) beautiful, bespoke and delicious cakes (WORTH THE PRICE) !!! CONS: not very polite woman on the till(she definitely needs to work on her manners) Covid19 hygiene is debatable, expensive food, (not all of it tho') staff not very aware of the menu.

Really unprofessional owners! I have ordered many cakes and visited the cafe many many times but unfortunately this business is run by a very unprofessional owner. I ordered a cake for my sisters engagement which turned out to be nothing like how I asked. I asked for rose gold with very light pink butter cream but instead I got garish gold with yellow petals sprayed gold! I was extremely disappointed as I have ordered many cakes from Alexa and have always been blown away by the look and taste. I expressed my disappointment via Instagram DM which ended in a refund of £10 as compensation. I was upset with the cake and told them without being rude and felt like it was dealt with amicably only to find that I had been blocked by them on both @Aesthete and @AlexaJaneBakeStudio! This is really unprofessional and has fuelled me to write this review when I otherwise would have not and would have continued to visit the cafe - think it is safe to say I would never visit here or order a cake from them again!

Worth trying! Five stars. Went with my husband and two children. The food was great and had unique twists. We sat in the shed and I loved the vibes. My favourite was the Turkish flatbread with minced meat, feta and dill. I ordered it at the very end and it was above expectations. We tried the Baklava pancakes and loved that the it wasn't too sweet. Had balanced flavours with rosa petals and honey. The cream was nice and light and had a sour hint like yogurt . The Benedict was perfectly cooked. The sides felt like home made. I would prefer the hollandise sauce to be more citrusy/sour, it was a bit neutral. The coffee was good, the tea came with a pot. We tried the white forest and was fresh and light. Felt like a good home baker cake. They had a baby chair but the built was loose so my child kept getting out which was a bit disturbing. So my only advice is to get one Ikea's baby chairs were babies can sit still

The food at Aesthete cannot be faulted. It is the best brunch I have had in Sheffield, and I would even go so far as to say it is probably the best brunch you can get in Sheffield.

That said, you might be surprised to see I have only given it three stars. Unfortunately, I feel the customer experience is not as good as it could be, mainly because of how busy it gets. Of course, this is not the fault of the restaurant, as they understandably want to make as much money as possible, but it feels like that comes at the expense of the overall experience.

I have visited both Aesthete locations several times and have consistently had a similar experience. Everything feels rushed and a little panicked due to how busy it is. Waiting a long time for coffee, and then over an hour for food, is not enjoyable. If you visit during peak brunch hours, this seems to be the norm. Almost every time I have been, I have finished my coffee well before the food arrived because of the long wait.

What would I suggest? Fewer tables and a slightly higher price point. I would be more than happy to pay more for a better experience. Right now, even though the food is exceptional, it is not enjoyable enough to make the wait worthwhile.

To make matters worse, on my last visit, my party was seated at an especially uncomfortable table. We did not realize quite how uncomfortable it would be until we had already agreed to sit there. With no other tables available, we tried to make do. For context, it is a round table with diagonal poles at knee height, making it difficult to get your legs underneath. There also was not enough space for food and drinks without playing a constant game of Tetris. This table really should not be in use at all.

When another table eventually became free, I politely asked if we could move, making sure nobody else was waiting. Unfortunately, I was told no, as it would make things harder for the kitchen. I understood the reasoning, but it was still disappointing, given how uncomfortable we were. As I write this review, my back is still sore from sitting there.

In addition to the uncomfortable seating, I was given a dirty glass for my water. My partner had also requested no hollandaise sauce on their meal, but this request was missed by the kitchen. Because of how long we had already waited, we did not ask for the dish to be remade.

I do not blame the staff at all for any of these oversights, they are simply too busy.

I would recommend Aesthete if you can go during a quieter time, if such a time exists. But unless something changes with how busy it is, I personally will not...

Came here a couple of months ago for brunch with my girls and our babies and was treated so badly by one of the staff that worked there. Soon as we came in we was dirty looked because we had prams with us and was told to try be abit “quieter” as one of our babies was upset due to needing a feed. We put something on our phone which wasn’t even loud enough for us to hear never mind the whole cafe furthermore when she came up and targeted us again for one of our children watching paw patrol to a minimum level of sound even less than half. We went round and apologised to people in the cafe if at all we disrupted their afternoon after the worker apparently had “noise complaints” but when we spoke to other customers they had no issues and got chatting to them for a while whilst one set of customers had just arrived at the time and the others was with their newborn and hadn’t even been up to order. Not at all anywhere I’d like to go again or take my child. Clearly not child friendly and from the staff member being so rude she clearly just targeted us because we...
