I visited this pub and found it to be a fantastic venue. They have a range of ales and craft beers which are kept very well. If you like your beers this is definitely a pub to visit. I also had a pizza while I was there which was very nice. Charlotte the manager is very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the beers. Her dog is also very friendly and a nice addition to the relaxed atmosphere of the venue. Would definitely visit again. The pub has something for everyone and is a great place to spend time.

Response to venues response to original review : Thank you for your response to my review. Only too happy to give a proper detailed review when I've had such quality service. Although I must point out in relation to Charlotte : I visited on 31/12/23 and I believe that the Charlotte in question has since left. As far as I know she took the pub dog with her. I can't vouch for any new Charlotte you have since employed. I'm not saying she isn't also decent but as you can imagine I wouldn't want to give credit to the wrong person. I would have to visit again to see if the new Charlotte is as good as the old one. She has big shoes to fill that's all I'm saying. If I do come back I will post another review of my findings...

What a job the new owners have made of this place! The internal refurbishment is beautiful, with dark wood paneling on walls and ceiling, and extensive display of drinking paraphernalia as visual interest. The overall effect is of being inside a chocolate box.

Excellent selection of real ales and craft beers on both cask and keg at decent value (not town centre prices). Not sampled yet, but some delicious looking and smelling food coming out of the kitchen too.

I've saved the best for last. The jewel in this new pub's crown is the outstanding beer garden. It's a fully decked and furnished outdoor seating and drinking area, with fitted wooden benches all around the outside, several covered and heated verandas, ample seating for dozens of people and a lovely view of Sheffield to boot.

If you want to see how to revitalise an old pub, this is a best in class object lesson in the art. Well done people,...

I can't recommend this place enough... there was a brilliant atmosphere, the friendliest staff, a wide variety of drink options (especially for the none boozy gals!) & super tasty food. Charlotte let us take over a little cosy nook of the pub to host a baby shower, we decorated and painted pots and had the best evening catching up with friends. The staff were so accommodating and welcoming which made a huge difference to our celebration. My friends that hadn't been before said it was the Sheffield pub they had been searching for as it has everything you could hope for in a cosy pub. Can't wait to come back soon!...
