The new landlady's have done an amazing job bringing this pub back to life. Really great buzz and a community feel. Sport on for peope who want to watch it and a pool table/darts. Great selection of drinks and really reasonably priced. The bar snacks are top notch too. I was going to pop in and check this pub out on a wet and windy evening while walking down Carterknowle Road. Unfortunately, there was a large sign on the door stating 'cash only'. Not having any cash on me and only cards, I could do nothing more than turn on my heel and continue on my walk.
