Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Sheffield

Yesterday we visited Costa at Fox Valley, I hope the company really appreciates just how good the staff there are. Georgia and Ben were amazing ! They were not only very professional but also very kind, pleasant and friendly, especially to our 2 Labradors. Georgia brought out 2 bowls of water without being asked and offered the dogs a pup cup which they loved ! . I am very pleased to learn that Costa now allows dogs in the cafe, my friend and I often call for a drink after an early morning walk in the summer but now we will be able to call in the colder months as well. As you walk in the friendly, happy atmosphere greets you and a welcome smile from Georgia and Ben really do make you feel happy and relaxed and ready to enjoy good food and drink whilst taking a breather from the busy day that stretches out in front of you. We have never had a complaint about the quality of the food and drink at Costa but not all the staff we have come across over the years have made us feel so welcome. Always a mixed bag at a Costa, never one the same! Food ok but not a vast choice even though it was early morning, didn't seem the cleanest of places and the toilets were terrible, not regularly inspected and wet everywhere! Food delivered quickly but not the friendliest of receptions considering the price of things! Got busy quickly and many struggling to find a seat, some tables not cleared quickly, lots sat outside even you it was freezing!

Would I go again....not without improvement as there are other coffee shops on site so more to choose from. Big fan of Costa myself, though you would not think so my this review, but I say it as I find, and this occasion (may have been that particular day) , was falling short of the usual Costa experience I have. I gave it a 5 star, even though there was a small issue with my Panini. I had a bacon and brie panini (last one on the shelf). The food was delivered, however it wasn't warmed through properly some of the bacon and brie was still cold. I returned to the till and explained that it wasn't warmed through properly, I was asked to get a replacement I mentioned that that was the last one, I declined any other sandwich they had as I wasn't overly keen on what they had. Without hesitation they refunded me the cost. I sat down to drink my latte when a server came over and handed me a shortbread cake and apologized for the issue with the panini.
