This place is fantastic! It was a busy and very hot day and yet the staff were still really friendly, happy to help, had a great system in place to deal with all the customers and long queues were moving quickly. The food is really good. Great varied menu. Very much a cafe menu rather than restaurant, but a good one. Great chips, one portion is enough for two to share if on a budget, I had the Chicken Caesar wrap and it was lovely, really generous filling. You can tell how a place feels about food by the kind of side salad they put together. No wet lettuce and sad watery tomatoes here, the salad was fresh and crispy and even had some pickles in. My only criticism would be that the pickled cabbage was a little harsh. Sweeten up that pickling liquor a little and this place would be nearly faultless. Would...

Stunning views and plenty of seating area outside so you can admire them if you stop for a drink or something to eat. Feels like you're in the heart of the countryside but only a short drive (or slightly longer walk through the woods) to get back to town. If you order food you get a handy beeper to alert you when your food is ready to collect. Slight niggle is that they bring drinks separately out to your table but you have to take them back inside if you want sugar or a spoon to stir your milk in. Would be more efficient to have small bowls on each table rather than one large communal one located right by the busiest area, I would have thought. Aside from that minor inconvenience though, it was a lovely place to visit and we will definitely...

My first visit on a lovely summer’s day did not disappoint. It was busy but there were plenty of waiting staff efficiently resolving everyone’s requirements. I didn’t see signposting from the residential street where I gained access but it seemed pretty well known when I got there. It’s quite spacious inside but on a sunny day the outside areas were the more popular. Up a few steps is the eponymous dam with water birds to be fed and an adjacent children’s play area make it a great spot for families. Busy ice cream sales confirms this. The cafe staff were pleasant and attentive and their ordering buzz device assured a prompt turnaround for food and beverages. It’s well...

Seems to lost some some of the ambience and welcoming atmosphere we enjoyed in the not to distant past (workers dashing around, shouting out customers order numbers)but we will continue to visit this beautiful part of Sheffield 🙂 and frequent the cafe .For some reason you now must queue outside the cafe just for a cup of tea ; drink your tea and then go back out side to order something else if required ?? 🤨. But the food and drinks are ok, sometimes not that hot due to the workers walking around outside to find who has ordered the food when they are actually sat in side ? But ha ho,the countryside is beautiful especially in spring time and is safe for all visitors 🙂👍

Lovely place to stop for coffee and something sweet on a regular walk up through Bingham park alongside the Porter. Five years later: although good for a coffee and something sweet, this week we have been twice and had lunch the second time. We cannot reconcile the poor quality and expensive burger with our other purchases. £9.50 for a dry, overcooked burger in an underwhelming bun with a single slice of tomato and two lettuce leaves, a smear of thousand island dressing, and a few oven chips is asking too much.

I usually frequent this cafe and have always highly recommend it. However, today I today I ordered avocado toast off the specials board and what they are charging for one slice of measly toast is absolutely scandalous. I was very disappointed as most places I have this optional is served with two pieces of bread. I will say that the presentation and staff were great
