Sherwood — Restaurant in Sheffield

Tonight we came in for food and how that lass dealt with some very rude and awkward customers she wants a medal twice we witnessed her be mouthed at by the “woman in white” when she took a drink off one of the group for being underage and then again when she explained she’d already told them once and it was her job to make sure that she wasn’t letting under 18s drink alcohol. All the kids in that group were running riot inside and outside the pub and she was doing her best to keep the situation calm asked them to stop the kids running round and screaming and was polite to them at all times given then circumstances but they didn’t seem to care about any of your staff or other customers.

However the food and service was spot on and she did apologise to us for the noise and disrespect coming from the party involved and asked if we would like to move and she’d bring out meals to a different table but we just got on with it as it wasn’t her fault and we enjoyed our meals regardless.

Just want to give credit where credits due to that lass because I wouldn’t have been so polite in them circumstances and I certainly wouldn’t tolerate that sort of abuse from a customer.

So disappointed!! The big room was booked out for a wake and with the family children not going to the funeral they were brought to Sherwood afterwards to pay their last respects to their loved family member who had passed. We were told by staff that we had to take all the children over to the conservatory to which we begrudgingly obliged. Upon walking over, there were people sat around in the conservatory eating meals so there was no room for the children. We were forced to take the children over to the other side, away from the party, away from all the family they had come over to see. The entire room was full of family and the kids felt pushed out. Which also meant the parents of those children were also left out as they had to accompany their children in the other room. Why is it exceptions can't be made in cases like this??? So...

I was ABSOLUTLEY DISGUSTED with this place! I ordered a PLAIN burger with nothing on it as i suffer from lots of allergies so avoid sauses ect. The burger came and had some kind of burger sause on it so the staff were helpful and took it back. When they brought it back i checked the burger again and all they had done was swap the breadcake and tried to wipe the sause off the burger which was very clearly still visible. I tvook the plate back and requested a fresh burger to be cooked. I waited that long that everyone at my table had finnished and was ready to leave by the time my meal was brought back out. We was all very dissapointed and refused to stay any longer for drinks. We will not be be...
