Today , November 22 2023 I revisited this local restaurant, buoyed by a previous experience of enjoying fresh and flavorful meals. Accompanied by my son, I ordered a mixed kebab with kofta, shish, and chicken, while he opted for a small kofta.
Regrettably, this experience did not mirror the high quality of our initial visit. We noticed that part of our meal, particularly the kofta, was undercooked. Addressing this issue with the staff, I was informed by a young gentleman that their chef, with over 50 years of experience, had never received complaints. I acknowledged this impressive tenure, noting that even the most experienced can have off days. This wasn’t about undermining their track record but about addressing a present concern.
In response to my feedback, the staff kindly offered a complimentary meal for a future visit. While appreciative of this gesture, I had hoped for a refund, considering the immediate issue. A slight misunderstanding arose during our interaction, seemingly painting my constructive feedback as argumentative. However, my intent was solely to offer constructive criticism, drawing from my own extensive experience in the hospitality industry.
As a longtime supporter of local businesses and a professional in the hospitality sector, I understand the importance of customer service and the impact of handling feedback effectively. This experience, though not as positive as my previous visit, underscores the opportunity for continual improvement in customer service and food quality, vital for the success of any community-focused business.
In conclusion, while I declined the offer of a complimentary meal and am reconsidering a future visit, I maintain my support for local businesses and hope that this feedback serves as a constructive tool for enhancing the service quality.
Total spent: £25 on two meals.
I am optimistic about the potential growth and success of our local enterprises and believe in the power of positive change through...
Read moreThis is an exceptional Kebab Shop. The first thing you will notice is the smokey aroma as you enter the shop, which gets the taste buds going.
I was offered a delicious Turkish tea on the house when I went in to order. This rarely happens nowadays to get anything on the house, so that was a nice surprise.
I ordered the mixed donner and chips, the chips were chunky, this suits a donner meat as it can soak up the kebab juice, the chips were cooked perfectly and I was offered salt and vinegar (the service here is exceptional!!)
The donner meat itself is delicious and is made with high-quality mince (im guessing lamb shoulder and a little touch of offal) with a decent meat to fat ratio. Now this is the best part, most donner places will pull donner from the tub (pre cut and cooked donner slices that they keep warm) on the 2 occasions I have been, they have cooked and cut the meat FRESH from the grill. This never happens so it's quite impressive to see lastly they are very clean the shop is spotless behind and in front and one day maybe I'll sit down and eat inside because the tables are clean and the atmosphere welcoming all in all it's a 10 out...
