Kings Head — Restaurant in South Derbyshire

We moved to Hatton last year and had never visited The Kings Head apart from a few weeks back when we went for Sunday lunch. We were completely blown away by the spectacular food, it was absolutely delicious and extremely great value for money! The staff were all very friendly too. It felt like we'd been going for years. We were talking with the owner about having a gender reveal for our baby and we were saying we are looking for a venue. Unbeknown to us, The Kings Head have a great function room which was perfect! Within 2 weeks of booking the room out, we had the reveal. It was absolutely amazing! The room was a great space, we had over 60 people come to the party. We were allowed music, decorated the room however we wanted and couldn't of asked for a better day! We have attached photos of them room for more to see. If I could post a review use without giving it a start I would!! Came here for a light lunch, imy friend ordered drinks and went to the table as I got to the bar to order food. I waited for almost 20mins, my friends came to look for me I was that long! Bar maid had 1 person at bar before me when I arrived at bar, she acknowledged me by apologising for my wait to which I was grateful. But them horrified to watch her serve the further 4 people that appeared at the bar after me to order food!! Terrible service & awfully rude! I asked the barmaid if she intends to serve me which she then says she's just serving others!! She knew I was waiting very patiently to be sevlr ed before all others & still continued to be rude! I left the bar & will not be returning to try & eat here again!...

As we arrived, we asked if food is being served, which it apparently was. We then ordered our drinks, to go with the meal we wanted to order. The bar staff THEN asked us if we were in a rush for our food, because the chef wouldn't start until 4pm (40 more minutes!!). We couldn't wait for that long with a toddler and a tiny baby and left. Atmosphere was rubbish anyway. Bar staff sat playing on a laptop in the entrance, entire pub was freezing and smelled of cigarettes. Two drunks were leaving as we arrived and another man was sleeping in the car park. Very run down. Would not...
