Gatsby Tea Room — Restaurant in South Holland

We stayed in Long Sutton recently and visited the Gatsby 3 times. To sum it up I'd say it was old fashioned, but not in a bad way. Firstly they have chosen a vintage look, a bit like a tea room might look in a Miss Marple TV drama. But, more importantly, they have good, old fashioned friendly service. And the cakes were definitely home made and very good. To choose a cake we had to go to the little kitchen at the back and we could see the ladies there actually making a cake. And it showed in the taste of the cakes that we had. I’m no longer a keen coffee drinker, but decided to have some for a change, and it was very good. Regrettably, despite the food and service being lovely, this cafe has decided to hang it's hat on the Conservative banner and now boasts a leaflet in their window encouraging us to vote for the local Tory candidate.

This is a real shame, how anyone can vote or ask others to vote, for this party that has ripped apart and destroyed our country over the last 14 years is beyond me.

Hello I was at you tea room last Saturday and was pleased with your food but the survival time was awful I had to wait 30 minutes for a drink. And the waitress was slitly uneasy she was constantly staring at us but overall it was OK.
