Came here for lunch today, and everything was delicious! If you’re in the area you absolutely need to come here to eat! I had the chicken katsu burger, and every bite was fantastic. We had the churros for dessert, and they were also super yummy! The staff here are also exactly the right amount of attentive and very friendly!

As we walked in we were immediately approached by a very friendly staff member. She sat us down and took our drinks order straight away. We had the carvery, the food was cooked to perfection. The staff members were call friendly. The toilets were clean. It's reasonably cheap aswell. Overall a very nice pub and restaurant.

Went here this evening (Tuesday) for burgers. Absolutely outstanding in every way! Great food, service, couldn’t fault it. The weekday and weekend menus looked great too. You can build a burger from various options which is great, so much variety & all delicious, cooked perfectly and home made. We will be back!

Huge disappointment! As a returning customer expectations were high following previous experience, however our anniversary dinner reservation last night was an absolute disaster. On arrival, we had to find someone to seat us after standing awkwardly and uncomfortably in the restaurant for far too long only to be greeted with a warning that dinner service was running late. We were seated and left to stew for quarter of an hour before anyone came to take our drinks order. I asked for a pint of Guinness (always had this here) but they no longer serve it; when I asked the waitress what bitters they have she couldn't tell me, so I ended up with some kind of pale ale I'd never heard of.. A drinks list/menu on the table would really be useful if selling craft ales so we get the chance to see what's on offer before ordering. This is supposed to be an "Ale House" but there was no promoting of the ales and no way of seeing what was on offer. My wife ordered a Sauvignon Blanc which was the only thing successfully served to the table all evening. Orders for starters were taken by a young waitress who seemed to be struggling with the task and lacked any kind of customer service. I don't know if it was her first shift, but as front-of-house staff it was not a great impression of the quality of the restaurant. We ordered the Seafood salad and a baked camembert but the camembert was not available so chose the chicken wings to start. We both ordered the Palmers Burger with triple cooked chips for our main. The starters arrived separately (just two plates!); the seafood salad was put in front of me and the waitress said "My Bad! this looked really nice in the kitchen but it fell apart because I rushed it out for you." Both dishes looked like they'd been assembled in a hurry and without any pride for presentation.. a shame as the presentation is the first impression of the dish! The chicken wings were overdone, dry and bland, and the seafood salad had raw chunks of salmon fillet and raw crayfish tails. I am happy to eat raw salmon if it is prepared to be eaten raw, thinly sliced as in sushi or small pieces lemon cured, but these were large chunks of chewy raw meat! Not appealing at all. The raw crayfish tails is just a big NO.. The seafood salad went back to the kitchen. Our waitress then came to tell us that our burgers would now be coming with sweet potato fries as they had run out of the triple cooked chips! I hate sweet potato fries! I was offered an alternative of new potatoes or crushed new potatoes.. neither of which you'd expect with the restaurants signature burger.. We cancelled our order and left. We were charged for a beer that I didn't enjoy and a plate of overdone chicken wings, which didn't get finished.. the only thing I'd have been happy to pay for was the Sauvignon Blanc. The food was shocking and the customer service was very poor. We definitely...

I don't normally leave reviews however I feel I have to for this restaurant. I happened to stumble across add on Facebook for their ALL YOU CAN EAT Carvary, Now I've been to "all you can eat Carvarys" and there normally OK, however the previous places I have been never meet up to there name and there normally pretty funny about the amount of meat you can have or they don't keep the sides stocked up, but I thought for 9.95 a person I couldn't complain. I phoned and booked a table for 6 people, It is located in a high street so I can imagine parking can be a issue fortunately for us with the time we went parking was easy. We was greet by a polite young lady and taken to our table, Chairs where comfortable and the inside seemed clean, welcoming and well decorated, I did notice a few of the chairs we used had seen better days but this didn't take anything away from our experience. I asked the waitress if since my kids where 8 and 3 if I could just pay 9.95 and they share to find out they charge kids 5.95, so that was a bonus. I got my 3 year old sorted 1st the chef and the waitress helping him, Skye (or at least I think that was he name, I hope so I spent the whole night referring to her as Skye) where very pleasant, polite and helpfully, and did a really nice job of communicating with my kids and having patience with them. My sister then asked if she had to choose a meat, beef, turkey, pork and gammon was what was on offer, the chef replied with "long as you don't waste it you can have what you want" So my partner went on to have one of each, The selection of veg I think was a little limited to what they normally have going by what the add said they normally do, But was still a good selection, well stocked and tasted great, Our plates where filled to the point they where over flowing and by the time we finished no one felt the need to go back for seconds, We did have afters and again they didn't disappointed, We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, the food was great, the price was great but mostly it was the staff that won us over, they where great with us but also each other, they seemed to get on and enjoy being at work that made a nice atmosphere Will we definitely...

OMG - please do not go here. Gave this place a third chance - yes a third chance My family live in the village and we were given a voucher and HAD to use the value up as it was a considerable amount.

Arrived this evening to be told there is no fish - no ravioli (vegetarian option). The menu is very minimal and as we had been before the burger was the only safe option. So the 3 of us ordered a burger then was told there were only 2 burgers left. Ordered 2 burgers then we were told there was a child sized burger one of us could have so we chose that. Well it was fairly edible so not too bad. To use this voucher up we decided to have a dessert - 2 of us had profiteroles- well 12 profiteroles on each plate (who could eat 12 ?) I asked for some cream but was told there was no cream left making 12 of the bloody things even more hard to swallow. We had also ordered coffee - one coffee delivered with no spoon or sugar. When the other 2 were delivered to the table we were given another spoon There is no embarrassment from the staff for their total lack of customer service They had some kind of games night on and the staff all sat at 1 table playing this game and therefore were totally uninterested in serving anyone. Only 3 tables were occupied by paying customers. The rest of the staff totally ignore you and just sit at one table playing the quiz. What an absolute shambles this place is. Also the staff look like they need a good sheep dip. Well never again - there is ÂŁ11.00 still to be spent on this voucher but they can keep this to buy more ingredients to put towards their very minimal menu for anyone brave enough to eat at this establishment.

Please don’t say you haven’t been warned about entering this place - although you may want to in order to experience customer service and food at...
