The Crown Hotel Holbeach — Restaurant in South Holland

Visited by chance when scouting the area for a house to buy. Within 20 minutes, we were made to feel very welcome, the regulars knew us by name, we were chatting freely and a tab had been opened for us at the bar. Incredibly friendly, basically.

Their food is spectacularly good. Charlie and Griff as owners are delightfully kind and pleasant, and we couldn't recommend this place enough.

We now indeed do have a house nearby and we drop in frequently. Not quite regulars yet (the not-so-small matter of unpacking and properly moving in takes much of our time at present), but we very much enjoy visiting. Thoroughly...

Stopped by chance for lunch here on the way to Norfolk. I had a Tuna and red onion sandwich. It was gorgeous, super fresh and came nicely presented with some crisps and a lovely fresh salad that had a delicious dressing on it. I had a side of onion rings that were amazing, clearly home made. Husband had loaded chips that he declared to be "very nice"(praise indeed from Husband bless him).

Prices extremely reasonable.

If ever we are in the area again we will definitely eat here. Very highly...

I've been a regular for a number of years now and it's had it's ups and downs, over time. It's now back to being a traditional pub - with traditional food - and it goes from strength to strength. The facilities are very good, the range of beers is great, the staff are engaging, attentive, personable and amiable. It's everything you would expect from a well-run establishment.
