Reading the low ratings, this pub may not be for Moretti / Peroni drinkers, which is what makes it for me. There is no need to have a beer that you don't like here as they will always offer a sample. Not all are to everyone's taste, or mine, but with 12 on the go, you'll be hard pressed to find one that you don't like.
There is one that has chocolate and hazelnut - yep it sounds like Nutella, smells like Nutella and tastes like it - not to my taste, but some people may like it. My current favourite was Mittens V2 - possibly the best beer i have ever drunk!! We were staying in Fressingfield, and i discovered that did takeouts - My saviour as I went back every evening to get one. Shame I don't live locally.
The staff are also the most friendly and welcoming ones I've come across, and are also knowledgable and helpful when you don't know the beers - tell them the type of beer you normally drink and they will help you find the one for you.
If you like a sweetish, full bodied stout then try Mittens V2 - you'll never go back to the brand leader from Ireland after a...

Definitely worth a pop down even if its out the way, disappointment is not on the table. I don't work there 😉 P.s food trucks are available on selected dates more about them on the...
Read moreAbsolutely cracking. By far and away the best selection of high quality ales, ciders and lagers for miles. The selection is frequently rotated with something like a dozen available on tap featuring a superb selection from Ampersand and guest ales from the Three Blind Mice Brewery. Also a great selection of tinned beers from local breweries, and a smashing takeaway service. All capped off (sorry!) by super friendly staff, who know their beers, and tastings are welcomed. They also supply local wine which I haven't tried yet. At long last, a pub in Harleston serving...
