Buddy's Breakfast and Burgers — Restaurant in South Oxfordshire

Fantastic - Buddy's sets a high bar for burger options in Henley. Food was delicious and service was friendly and reasonably timely. If you're in a rush for a train, then be warned that most of the food appears to be cooked fresh!

It's a simple menu, one headline option per choice of meat or breakfast option, with a wide range of extras and sauces that you could add. Don't miss them, the baseline beef burger is delicious as is but you can mix it up a lot with just a couple of additions.

The bun was plump with a soft bite, the onions were freshly grilled and the beef patty was moist and flavourful. It tasted freshly cooked and that care had been taken to choose quality ingredients for even the smallest garnishing.

The Halloumi fries were expensive at first sight of the menu but deliciously rewarding when they arrived. Warm and gooey centres with a slight crisp on the outside that didn't feel greasy or deep fried. Quantity was OK but i felt that I got enough value to recommend them as a side.

Service was friendly and the food came in good time.

One thing to note, it didn't look like it had socket plugs, if you're thinking about charging a laptop to work while waiting, this doesn't look like the right...

Right, this is one of those lovely moments in life where you’re recommended somewhere to go by somebody and with a little hesitance you oblige…. and are gifted with an absolute ace experience. I came here on a Friday night to be greeted by a lovely warm welcome! The chalkboard menu is clear and beautifully laid out. No pressure on ordering, I went for a buddy’s burger and large fries. Dude the fries were legit! Crispy and fluffy and plentiful. Burger was juicy, cheesy and exactly what you’d like a smashed burger to be! Took a few minutes to make my order but that didn’t matter in the slightest as it was made fresh and the decor inside is lovely for a small railway spot. Lots of live plants hanging in the window. They even tend to them with as much care as the food and have cuttings you can takeaway to grow your own (Love that!) Also, the price is super reasonable for what you get and I truly mean that! Compared to a certain unnamed renovated establishment in Henley that’s charging the earth, it’s night and day!!! I’ll also add that a few months ago I had coffee (flat white) in the morning and that was also superb. Keep doing what y’all are doing because its f**king great. Needless to say I’m coming...

Unhygienic and unprofessional.

Popped in last Friday we order two burgers and fries. Whilst listening to my sons day at school, I watched in horror as the two guys working clearly “buddies” and speaking and swearing loudly. Like a boys/youth club. Sadly that was the part I could overlook. The older guy flipping the burgers was wearing blue gloves, so that was great. HOWEVER when he decided to moped and sweep, one might stupidly expect him to remove/exchange the gloves before resuming and handling more burgers. NOPE not at buddy’s.. Meanwhile his little teenage apprentice seemed to be digging through the salad looking for acceptable lettuce which wasn’t on the turn. Between bantering coughing into his elbow and forearm before happily resuming the excavation process 🥬 🍅.

This wasn’t a cheap learning curve for a quick burger either. (£27ish) Really disappointing. Food was...
