Went for dinner earlier with my husband and our 4-month-old baby. Things were going fine until the waitress accidentally dropped my hot Yogurtlu Chicken Shish dish. The food splattered all over my right thigh, my white trainers, and the chair. The plate shattered near my feet. The hot tomato and yogurt sauce also stained my husband’s shirt (the fork landed on him!) and even got on our baby’s pram.

Accidents happen—I’ve worked in hospitality myself and understand that. The waitress was very apologetic, and I don’t blame her for the mistake. But what ruined the night was the way it was handled afterward.

I sat there in wet jeans while my husband ate his meal alone. When my replacement dish finally came, he was already finished, so I had to eat alone too. A staff member even joked, “At least it didn’t fall on the baby”—which felt wildly inappropriate in the moment.

What truly shocked me: when the bill arrived, not a single item had been comped—not even our soft drinks. No offer of compensation. No offer to pay for cleaning. Nothing. Just a ruined evening and a mess to deal with at home.

In every place I’ve worked, we would have done something to make it right. A discount, a free meal, an apology from a manager—anything to show that the customer’s experience mattered.

Absolutely disgraceful treatment. We won’t be going back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The food was ok but not worth what we paid. More annoyed with myself for just paying the full bill to be honest. In hindsight I wish I had said something at the time.

Especially surprising given how quiet it was for a Saturday evening—clearly, they need every customer...

We dined there to celebrate my wifes birthday. This is one of the best restaurant meals we ever had and we are foodies who are difficult to satisfy!

We ordered a family BBQ platter which included a variety of BBQ meats, mezzes, salad, bread and rice. Meat was amazing. They were tender, well marinated and cooked to perfection. We had hummus, olives, dolmas and Shakshuka. All were very flavorful. We loved them.

The mains arrived as a large plate with rice and barbecued meats on top. The skewered meet was a sheer joy. They are the best seasoned bbqed meat I've ever had.

Though regular rice eaters we are not used to eat large grain rice. To be honest we do not usually like large grained rice. We were pleasantly suprised to the pleasant aroma and flavourful rice!

Salads again were well made. They had ample amount of like went well with other items of food. Hummus again was very good complementing when mixed with other food.

I had a glass of Turkish red wine to wash all these down. I loved the small plates we had. I felt it was great to eat on these slowly to enjoy all flavours, however there might be different opinions!

Service was good. We paid 86 quid fof the whole meal. I felt it is very reasonable price for such goid food. Quantity proved to be too much for 4 hungry adults and two kids, despite being mentioned as enough for 4-5 people. But we could not of course put such excellent food to waste. So the remaining came back in a box which the staff kindly provided waiting to be consumed in the fridge.

The space was bit tight. The decor was fine. There are few parking spaces in front of the restaurant.

Had lunch there today and was sadly very disappointed. Upon being seated, with only one other table occupied.. we had to wait 10 minutes to be served. We ordered drinks and starters. Starters were served but still had not gotten our drinks orders. The wait staff had no interest is service delivery and had to be flagged down to remind them of the drinks order (within arm's reach of our table)

Starters arrived and both dishes were clearly previously frozen and of poor quality, not worth the steep cost. Mains arrived and although the scraps of meat provided with in were tasty there was far too little of it and the wraps were soggy. The accompanying fries were also of poor quality and I suspect also from a frozen package of some sort. We did not finish the main course or the fries.

No offer of a second drink order was received.

Upon attempting to pay for the bill we had to flag down the single waiter 10 minutes after indicating we wanted to pay... This request was brushed off and eventually some one other than the waiter arrived to allow us to pay.

Sad really as this could have been an opportunity to experience some quality Turkish food however we left with frozen food repeating on us and a lighter wallet feeling like it was not worth your money.

Unfortunately we will not return and advise you to think twice before...

We dropped in for dinner as we felt like having shish-kebab for Christmas Eve dinner. This restaurant is near where we are staying. And the pictures looked amazing. We quickly made a reservation on the phone and got here to find out they weren’t super busy. The food options are good. We ordered lamb shish, the chicken shish and the lamb stew. The food came quickly and they tasted amazing! The thing we weren’t so impressed with was the servers. We were sat next to another table with a screaming baby. Since I saw they weren’t very busy I asked the server if it would be okay to move us to a quieter table. He simply said no those tables were all booked by other guests. Without looking on the computer screen you know that’s a made up excuse! By the time we finished our dinner, neither one of the tables he claimed booked had any guests. Not impressed is all I can say. At the same time, there were three young servers standing in the restaurant doing quite literally nothing. They just chatted amongst themselves in front of all the guests. It feels these kids need to get better trained. If you care for good Turkish food I still recommend this place. Your experience with the service might vary though.

First time trying Zigana, we had a takeaway this time. Ordered the Chicken Platter(see pics), Halloumi Salad and the Chicken Guvec. All was delicious and generously portioned. I particularly liked the Chicken Wings and Chicken Beyti.. fabulous succulent flavour! The Platter comes with 4 mezze of your choice, and both that and the Guvec come with generous portions of rice, salad, Turkish Flatbread, yogurt sauce and chilli sauce on the side, which is really great value. We had enough food for 4 dinner portions and 3 lunch portions the next day..so we spent £65 and had 7 meals out of it!!! The takeaway food is well presented and packaged with care. The restaurant is well thought out and nicely presented, with a smart takeaway counter being separate from the main seated restaurant. The folks at Zigana really have their A-game on, well done!! We'll definitely be coming back next time we want a healthier takeaway.
