I celebrated my 60th birthday here. Toni and her team include the DJ Mark really looked after us very well. They have two rooms for party bookings it was suggested by Toni that I have the downstairs one as it would be a better size for up to 70 guests. There big room holds 250 so much to big for me. I booked the downstairs function room for 18th jan a few months ago, for my husbands suprise 60th birthday. But when I got a call to say a change in management I was a little apprehensive. However the evening went without a hitch, lovely size room, friendly manager and staff. Mark the DJ was excellent for playing all the hits creating a fabulous atmosphere. Simple buffet included in the price and was lovely and fresh with a good choice of different sandwiches. Would totally recommend if your looking for a simple no hassle venue to celebrate an occasion. As an unhealthy eating, unhealthy lifestyle type of guy I was distressed to find that the Walton Arms does not serve full fat coke, lemonade, Red Bull or anything! Their excuse is the sugar tax but as I'm aware of this and prepared to pay the extra why not serve full fat drinks? The beer isn't low calorie.

Apart from that the alcohol selection is good especially the gins and the lagers and beers are fine. The staff are usually friendly although on one occasion a group of us were so disappointed with a staff members attitude we left our drinks and left. That staff member no longer works...
