Jasper's — Restaurant in South Staffordshire

This is one of the best places on Earth! I would love it if every town had a Jaspers as it's unique and you simply do not get this level of quality and value for money anywhere else.

Whenever I'm passing through Penkridge I buy something. Today I had a ham cob which melted in my mouth and the salad was so fresh with a touch of salt, perfection.

The cakes and everything else are also amazingly tasty.

The staff are always super efficient and very pleasant. The standards of hygiene are exemplary with gloves worn etc.

It makes Greggs appear to be a very depressing alternative.

I just WISH they allowed cards to pay as I don't carry cash and if I have run out of the stash in my car I have to drive past as can't be bothered to find a cash point and don't have the time. I'm totally sure they would do even more trade with card payments as many of colleagues also say the same as me.

No social distancing whatsoever. When I said I didn’t feel comfortable coming in the shop until some people had left, the very rude and arrogant woman said “well no one complies with social distancing anyway”.

That doesn’t mean it’s okay, and it’s your job to enforce it. She then tried to tell me she has to work here every day with people with no masks. Well make people put them on, actually enforce what your signs say and think about the way you speak to people.

The woman was rude and massively arrogant and made comments about me to other staff, really unprofessional. I explained that I work in a school which is just as much risk, however that isn’t the same or as risky as her bakery.

Jasper’s Bakery is hands down the best place for the freshest cakes and cobs! Everything is absolutely delicious, and the friendly girls behind the counter make the experience even better. Their customer service is fantastic—they even bring orders outside for those who can’t get into the shop.

The cakes are by far the best around, and I’d happily wait in the queue, even when it stretches past the next two shops! The only thing that would make it even better is if they accepted card payments—it’s too easy to walk in and order more than planned! But honestly, it’s worth every penny....
