The Wing Fat (Penkridge) — Restaurant in South Staffordshire

While on a Mum & Daughter Weekend staying in Penkridge, my daughter Cait & I called here for a meal on April 6th.. My friend April & I had stayed nearby 2 years earlier & had a superb meal at The Wing Fat after discovering it on our walk around Penkridge so I decided to treat Cait (19).

Cait & I had The Szechuan Banquet which is supposed to be for 2 people, this would have fed at least 3,we couldn't finish it all & were offered Doggie Bags but declined. Halfway through our meal I had to go & get milk,the staff were absolutely fine about this...I left my daughter as a deposit...Only joking!! The food was delicious, Restaurant was clean & staff so accommodating,if we come over fm Sheffield & stay nearby we will be back.. We ordered and we were confidently told that there was a 40-45 minute wait, so we went home and arrived back at the right time only to wait another hour which was more than a little annoying. The icing on the cake was being told just before we were about to receive our order that what we had ordered was not available and that we could have something else at which point we had to just agree as our bellies were rumbling! This takeaway used to be great but since it seems like new management has taken over it, the service and quality has really declined so please don't be fooled by...

Birds nest wasn't a birds nest as I have known previously.

Can't say it was bad food. Service was good. Wine was nice. But I cant say the food was great either.

Disappointing to be honest. Yet many people say how good the place is and hence why we tried it.
