Wrottesley Perton — Restaurant in South Staffordshire

Went to the pub today with my family. It was by far the most loveliest experience we've had by far, as far as food service and atmosphere is involved, it was 10/10. The food the chef Jo cooked was amazing. I had surf and turf and was delicious and cooked just right. My other family members also expressed their liking to the food. We were welcomed very happily by Tina, who was so lovely and was happy to let us have a doggy bag for the burgers that were left by the kids, and was kind enough to ask us how our food was, and Arran who was just there, but we thought we would mention him anyway out of respect for the pub 😁 they had a deal on for adults pay for their own and kids get their meals for £1, which I thought was so affordable and amazing that the pub do that sort of thing. All in all it was great service, great food and a great experience. Will be coming again definitely...

A large and lively, though fairly average, estate pub offering all the usual drink selections you would expect from any pub, plus a few more.

Unfortunately, the condition of their real ales are inconsistent, my first pint was barely drinkable and to be honest, I probably should have taken it back to be changed, the second pint, which I reluctantly stayed for, was from another cask and was more enjoyable.

(My recommendation would be for the pub to reduce the number of cask ales on offer, if they can't sell them quick enough, as in my personal opinion, no beer is better than a bad beer)

An extensive food menu is also available, and although I didn't order a meal on this occasion, the meals I saw being eaten by others, looked to be well presented, and...

Absolutely dire last 5 months, no decent ales on. You get a grilling for supporting the pub at a time they need every punter they can, that never registers with these chain pubs. Close early last 5 months, now close even earlier on Fri and Sat at 10 because certain narcissist twinkle eyed staff have things to do - Theyre in the wrong trade theyre paid for. No wonder its dead even worse since 3rd gaffer in less than a year i feel sorry for the two long time served that work there. Edit, not a chance whilst new gaffers there, youve even alienated your hard core drinkers, watch this space theyve found a better pub where theyre made welcome. No punters, no business, simple just dont register. Darkness at 11pm...
