Nice homemade meals. Went when there was the 2 course special one. Potato skins with garlic dip was lovely, then the corned beef pie was lush! Homemade, so tasty! The quiche was lovely too, beautiful fresh mixed salad and coleslaw. The lasagne was homemade too. Generous portion too, again all 3 lovely meals. Puddings were lovely too. Brownie and the apple crumble was very taste. Excited to go back and try more on the menu! Staff friendly and attentive too

Unfortunately we never made it though to the bar , had 3 grandchildren with us at 7.20 pm , got greeted by bar staff who looked at her watch when we walked in main door , kids have to be out by 8pm so the kids had 40 mins to eat and leave ! Won’t be back and won’t recommend either , we are very local but bottomless brunches are the way forward for them spent my money to the nearest local competitor !

What a perfect place for a meal any day of the week. The Sunday carvery was absolutely delicious and the large plates leave plenty room for pick your own vegetables. Carvery is available till 4pm every Sunday. The conservatory is bright and airy with lots of seating inside and out. Great local pub with events on such as pub quiz and specialised music nights. We will definitely be back!

We have been here twice for Christmas dinner. Nice food. £45 small size £55 large size. We paid for large sizes. When went up for our dinner, we asked cheif if we could have two meats, although menu states chose one meat choice. He said can have as much as you like, it's Christmas. And can put as much veg ect as you can get on your plate. So pay for small size because we now know you can have what you want Nice cosy place.. staff bend over backwards to make your Christmas dinner special. We have had Sunday carvy too.. was ok. Beef was very tough.. could not cut it, so left it. Veg was lovely as usual. Sunday lunch more pricey than some places.. but food good.. Christmas dinner 2019. Was not as nice as usual. Veg sloppy, custard was tastless, the ice pudding was like a cannon ball, could use as a sling shot. We had to let thrme staff know. We paid £100 per couple.. one small one large dinner. Was not worth the money this year. And the price had risen this year quiet a bit. Not sure will book 2020 Christmas dinner. Had family up from down South for Christmas, their first Christmas dinner there and was embrassing after raving to them about what lovely Christmas dinners we had in the past here. They paid for 3 dinners £150 so ruined our dinner on this special day. They left their puddings and we had trifle at...

We hadn't been here for quite a while, and we most probably won't go back for a while. The staff were lovely and friendly but one or two things let the place down. FOOD - the mashed swede was over seasoned with pepper to the extent that it made my mouth tingle and burn - not nice at all, and it's usually one of my favourite veg. The roasties were bland and tasted of cooking oil. The gravy was noticeably lumpy. Sprouts were soggy. Only the carrots and mash were enjoyable. The slice of lamb was quite nice, though. For the price of £7 for a 'small' carvery, it was poor in relation to other venues we have tried. CONSERVATORY It's lovely and bright in the conservatory, but it was so hot! The heating was on full blast, and with the sun streaming in, it was very uncomfortable. I'm sorry, I can only give 3 . In the past, it would have...

Staff are snobby and don't care about customer satisfaction. Food was alright but hygiene is disgusting as their was hair's in the veg which totally put us off our dinner. Also got told we would have to wait 10 minutes for a table and more tables were becoming free and staff were giving them away to people who had just came in considering us and other people waited over half an hour and we didn't get an apology. Wouldn't go back, I'm a regular customer but not after that experience it's becoming worse, so I'm off to...
