I heard good things from online reviews about this place when it seemed to be a bit more of a general cafe with Turkish vibes. Seemed to recently be more rebranded and reopening as a full-on Turkish restaurant, so intended to go check it out. Finally went tonight. The food was excellent, which all tased fresh with great flavour. I was a bit unsure what to order as people I'd seen in there seemed to have exciting looking salads and dips with their meal and wasn't sure what that came with. I got a lamb kebab (can't remember the exact name) from the charcoal grill section and my partner got a chicken with yoghurt dish from the a la carte section. Both were delicious, but first came breads, dips, salad and humous/tzatziki things. So it was more of a full dining experience with all the other things than I was originally expecting from the menu alone.
Well priced. Great service from a gentleman who really seemed to care and be attentive without being overbearing. Also nice Turkish music playing, not some kind of bad pop or something, so that added to the authentic vibes and I liked the touch of the photo on one wall of the Itchen bridge, mirrored by the bridge over the Bosphorus on the other side.
I'm definitely going back there again. And if you have any sense, you...
Read moreAbsolutely loved this place! The husband and wife who run the restaurant are so kind and welcoming—it really feels like you’re being treated like family. The food is incredibly fresh and authentic, made daily with care. I’ve never been a big fan of rice pudding, but theirs might just have changed my mind—it’s honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. The lamb shish was tender and flavorful, the bread was perfect, and the entire meal was a joy from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is top-notch. Amazing food, wonderful people, and excellent value—I highly...
Read moreWas in town on a quick visit down from London with my wife. Wanted just tea. Drove past this place. Parked up (free for 2hrs). Went to the door and the owner opened the door and greeted us so nicely. Tea was fresh and hot. Service was excellent. The owner was so humble and treated us like family. Had a lovely chat. Spotless place with a squeaky clean washroom. Need to return one day for a late lunch or dinner. The menu looked so nice and we love Turkish food anyway. Can't rate the food as didn't have any...
