L’osteria is located on a prime location close to the West Q shopping Centre and cinemas. With an open kitchen and contemporary style it offers a pleasant experience. I had lunch with family on a Saturday and it was a bit busy and noisy but not a deal breaker. The food was very good and the staff was always there to make sure everything was to our liking. I am looking forward to trying it out on a quieter evening. I would definitely recommend. On a second visit, Saturday afternoon with no reservation the place was very busy. We were offered to wait by the bar. That made the 20 minute wait for a table pleasant. We sat outside, most of the tables are for two, so expect a more quiet and romantic mood. Warm too thanks to outdoor heaters cleverly fitted above the table. In fact sitting outside I lost the sense of time and totally forgot how busy it was inside. On a final note, the Tiramisú that we had was very good. It was a pity that the expresso that I ordered took too long. I had to cancel that order as we had to leave. Laura, the waitress assigned to our table was super friendly and very professional, was making sure everything was to our liking. Why I haven’t given a 5 star? 1 - At the bar I ordered a Martini Rossi on the rocks. A very simple drink to make but because it was not on the bar menu it was a no. 2 - Shame that expresso took so long! Still a most recommend place.

Came to have dinner here Friday evening, usually when i have visited L’osteria it has always been great, however my visit today was the opposite. My friend ordered a hugo spritz which arrived to our table half full (picture below) After we ordered our food, we waited for our starter to come out; naturally you would assume a starter would come before mains however both our pizzas arrived before our starter which we thought was strange, so we asked if our starter could be brought out instead. The waitress or possibly food runner said we can let her know when we were finished with our starter so that she can then bring our mains back out; however, a different waitress or food runner then came out with our pizzas only a few minutes after when we were still eating our starter Whilst eating our food another waitress or food runner then came out with another order of my friends pizza, so in total we have had three lots of that pizza arrive. The waitress or food runner who arrived to our table to see my friend with her pizza already said “oh my f*cking god, i’m being told so many different things i am getting so pissed off, sorry.” After that we tried to enjoy our meals but from these multiple issues we felt the good atmosphere decline and lost our appetites. Despite this, Victoria our server was very nice and welcoming and our food tasted good as usual, but the service overall was not good.

We loved our first visit. And decided to come just to get disappointed from London! First the lady was so in rush to take our order she didn’t even gave time to go through the menu. Once the order was placed our pizza arrived, for our surprise it looked far from what we had last time basically some Toppings where missing! Well then we decided to take the pizza one half and the other one we just took out one slice. She took to pack for take away, and brought back the pizza in a rolled form????!!! God knows why. Basically I asked why she had rolled it, she said they have no box!!!! And if I like her to go to the back and check if there is any!!! Well why didn’t she go to the back in the first place before rolling my pizza. Siriusly? Just few min ago a delivero guy picked up an order. So so disappointed! You can see how my pizza looked when it reached home! Looks so disgusting! At least you guys should have let us pack, we would done a better job!

Food was delicious, Pizza’s are huge, almost too big and certainly too big for the plate! Service let this place down. We arrived and were shown to our table, where they squeezed 7 of us onto a table of 6. We were waiting for 1 more person but no one came over to take our drinks order, nor were we advised of the items they’d ran out of when we were seated. This meant when we came to order, of course some of the things we wanted were out of stock (vegan cheese & lasagna). Eventually someone took our order but we had to flag her down. Drinks & food arrived swiftly, no follow up and barely an offer of Parmesan & black pepper. We also sat with dirty plates in front of us for 20 minutes+. It all seemed a bit manic staff wise - maybe they were short of staff but it didn’t feel smooth. Everything had to be asked for/followed up. It just felt quite difficult. I’d return for food but be wary of the service.

The food was great as always, but I was not happy with the service. I understand it was a busy day but I was ignored for too long. 1. I sat down, 5 mins later someone brought me the menu. 2. While eating, no one checked with me if the food was okay. I mean the food was great, but doing check-backs with the customers is your job. 3. After I finished my food, I spent about 15-20 mins trying to get someone’s attention to ask for the dessert menu. 4. Somehow the bill was handed to me after me spending 15-20 mins trying to get te dessert menu. 5. I told the waitress that I didn’t ask for the bill and I would like to have the dessert menu. 6. After another 5 mins wait the dessert menu was finally brought to me. 7. Spent another 10 mins trying to get someone’s attention so that I could order dessert. 8. Spent about 15 mins trying to get someone’s attention to ask for the bill.

Really lovely first time at L’Osteria, I thought the waiting time between order and service was quick, waited about 20 minutes on Saturday at 5pm for 2 pizzas and 1 pasta dish. I also really appreciate how the pasta section states whether alcohol was used as an ingredient as this makes it easier to gauge if a meal is halal, so big tick on this front. :) The only thing is that it seems like the portion sizes between pastas varies slightly. The spaghetti sizes seem huge compared to the panzerotti/conchiglie di fume, but that’s the only ‘criricism’ I had. I think the conchiglie portion was okay and I felt satisfied at the end, but the panzerotti seemed a bit smaller, equalling to about 6-8 big ravioli slices. Either way, had a really great time at L’Osteria and I thought the food tasted great with very reasonable prices, would return. :)
