The decor is pretty kool, very Shoreditch hipster cafe, maybe a little dark for the summer but I'm no interior designer and the service is pretty good. The problem was the food and drinks. We ordered some cocktails, my advice, don't get pitchers there was so much ice it was better value for money just to get glasses.
The Meze platter is just a disappointment on far too many levels, too small, too expensive and with the exception of the crab cakes just overcooked and lacking flavour. Looked great when it arrived but certainly didn't taste as good as it looked. We also ordered some Halloumi fries, wow they were so VERY oily and while you knew the cheese was in there I certainly couldn't taste it or any of the herbs I could see in the bread crumbs. For the main I ordered the salmon salad with mango and avocado. Again portion size was disappointment with a tiny piece of overcooked salmon on top of a few cubes of avocado and mango hidden underneath, on a bed of salad leaves, no dressing...
All in all just a disappointing experience, I won't go so far as to name the local competitors I'd recommend rather than here but you don't have to walk far in any direction to get better food and drink...
Read morejust to preface, i understand they were busy, and my family in fairness did enjoy their food, however i had a largely different experience. we got a nice booth table for a breakfast dining. after about 15 minutes a rather nonchalant waitress took our order for some waters drinks and myself a cappuccino, whilst about 15 minutes later all my family recieved their drinks, i however did not receive mine so asked where it was and 20 minutes later it was bought over 🤷♀️, we had also ordered our food at the time we ordered our drinks and probably recieved it rather slowly compared to other dining experiences once we did receive our food it looked nice, however mine was pretty much freezing cold and raw in the middle, lack of syrup, nice bacon though, won’t go again, won’t recommend. I also might just add that i thought the decor was extremely outdated and lack of effort tbf, but in all fairness at the end when we asked for the bill we had a lovely waitress- one we hadn’t met before, become apologetic and ask if we’d like to sort it out, which we didn’t have time for but much appreciated. Probably the best part of my dining experience aside from being...
Read moreReally disappointed today after a trip to Bills. We go in there quite a bit as good menu and crayons for kids. We got there at 11.15 when we’d booked. It was very busy so we weren’t seated until 11.30 which was a bit annoying but ok. We ordered straight away and got food at 12. Ordered a coffee which didn’t arrive until after the breakfast but this happens a lot. The thing that was so disappointing was the sausages served to me and my partner’s 4 year old were raw. We didn’t notice until the end and luckily she didn’t eat it as it ‘tasted funny’. I understand how these things can happen but it was the response that was disappointing. We told them at the end the sausages were raw and this wasn’t great to serve to a child. The server spoke to someone we assume was a manager whom we overheard asking if we ate the rest of the breakfast and then shrugging. We were brought the bill with no further word on it. I asked for at least the children’s meal to be taken off the bill. It wasn’t really about the money I was hoping more for just an acknowledgment. They removed that but left the 12.5% tip on there. Very...
