We were 4 adults and one child shopping in Next on the Queensville retail park on Sat 03.10.20. We approached the queue and were spoken to by a member of staff that said there were no tables free but we could wait. We weren't told where to wait but we felt where we were was blocking people from walking past as part of the next store. One of our party saw a table becoming vacant and went to have a look the staff member pounced and was very rude just telling him not to stand there. We understood the problem but the member of staff clearly instead of making it a good experience for was looking for a problem and was the same with the people behind us. We were told they closed at 5pm and whilst I was putting my grandchild shoes on and it was clear that we were leaving at 1655hrs another abrupt member of staff came over and told us they close at 5pm and asked us to leave. WELL DONE COSTA MANAGED TO LOOSE AT LEAST 4...

The coffee is great and the staff are lovely, especially one young lady who, when I said that I love the patterns on the coffee she was making, said that earlier she'd taught herself how to do a bear. Impressive photo of it. I jokingly asked if she could do an owl (thank you Fast Show for making my autistic wife fascinated by owls in holes š) and the young lady looked online to see how it was done and came back to us ten minutes later with a coffee with an owl on the top. What amazing service. She should be identified and given a huge Hi5 for her excellent customer service. For context, my wife is disabled and we don't get out often so to receive customer service like this absolutely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe management team did an excellent job of serving and social distancing as well as trying to deal with agitated customers who objected to being asked to sit in certain areas. One gentleman was particularly upset and the manager at the Next stafford store Costa coffee branch handled the situation perfectly. Explaining why tables were closed and the need to observe the distancing measures. We would do well as customers to remember the staff dont make the rules nor did they create the virus.
