Taco Bell — Restaurant in Stafford

Visited Taco Bell Stafford a few weeks ago waited 25-30 mins for our food instore which is supposed to be a 'fast food' restaurant. I wouldn't have mind if there was a staff member telling people how long the wait would be. After eating we order takeaway to bring back to family. After 30 mins of waiting we asked the staff how long this would be. They said they already called out the number - we were stood right next to the collection area and our number wasn't called. This then took a further 20 minutes for the food to be made. All it was was a quesadilla meal. This week I was sent a parking fine after exceeding the limit by 16mins. I talked to Taco Bell and they accepted the blame however didn't tell me how they were to sort it. I called back everyday and had no answer. Finally answered Wednesday and I asked for updates on the fine. She said she didn't know. I proceeded to ask if there was management who could sort this out as she was a team member. She said there's not management on shift. If this is the case they need to be investigated for not having any management supervising them during shifts. She then told me that they have forwarded my REG number to management but there was nothing else they could do. I asked if I could have their area managers contact information or if they could email the situation to them and she refused. She then proceeded to call me rude over the phone, I was being cautious of this fine as there is limited time left to pay it off. After explaining to her that the reasoning I got the fine is due to waiting 40 minutes for a fast food takeaway she simply said "well don't eat here again then". I, myself work in a fast food company and I have NEVER been spoken to the way that rude girl spoke to me. Whilst explaining this to her, she hung up on me midway through as she would not let me get in a word edgeways. I want this to be sorted NOW other wise I will be taking further action. Not to mention the restaurant was filthy & staff in the kitchen weren't using gloves or the ones who were using gloves were wiping there noses or touching their hair and continuing with making the food. I will not be visiting the Stafford branch again, I've never had this experience in any other Taco Bell. Disgusting...

Honestly have no clue what all these bad reviews are about. We went at 10pm and the store was packed! The seating area was messy and there was a lot of tables that needed clearing… but it was 10pm and there was only 7 staff members meanwhile there was about 30 customers in total waiting for their orders. We placed our order with 15 orders being ahead of us, yet we still got our order in less than 10 minutes.

Honestly, I feel like the people leaving bad reviews are one of these:

Have never had Taco Bell before and expect it to be cuisine and fancy (it’s a texmex maccies)

Have never worked in retail or hospitality while being understaffed and overworked

Are impatient

Going at peak times and expecting 100% perfection food. Tell me a time you’ve gone to maccies at peak times and not receiving burger ingredients that have just been slapped into the packaging.

I can understand people have had their orders wrong which is unwanted but these things happen… not only this but the store has been open less than a month - it isn’t going to be perfect and it’s going to be really busy! That’s how it will be until the craze dies down.

Overall, couldn’t fault the staff at all… the morale was high, the work ethic was high even customer experience was great for 10pm. The food was hot, tasted great.

Honestly can’t wait to go again - if the experience changes next time I will update this review...

Be very surprised if this place hasn't closed down within a year. Been coming since it first opened was always very busy struggled to get a tables, food was always fantastic and hot. the times we went there was always a manager on site and someone cleaning up the tables. The last few times we've been seems to be going down the pan. No one cleaning the tables down very dirty, just seems to be run by young kids. Went on 25th June 2023 no one in there again very quiet been like that the last few times we've been, still had to wait for food about 20/25 mins to receive it cold not fresh at all was disgusting it's not a cheap place to eat for a family of 4. The hard taco's was vile like they had been sitting in there for most if the day it was soggy at the bottom just broke into pieces and tasted like dusty dirty taste had to spit it out was unbelievable disgusting. The churros was cold like they had been cooked hours ago and left there, was stone cold. I don't mind waiting for food at all as long as its hot and fresh, that wasn't. Companies wonder why their businesses close down, its going to when they don't keep standards up and let kids that don't care run it. Definitely won't be going back anymore, and won't be...
