Visited with my friend yesterday as was central for us both coming from Wolverhampton and Stoke, food was absolutely horrific.
I ordered the chicken new York and it was very dry and very burnt (cremated), sent it with gravy not bbq sauce, bacon was all fat and not cooked definitely not worth the price i paid for it at all!
My daughter ordered a burger it came and was extremely burnt and dry, she ended up just eating the bap and the 10 fries that was on her plate.
My friend ordered a chicken and bacon sub sandwich, the chicken was dry, the toast was cremated, yet the chef had tried to hide the burnt toast by putting them burnt side down, she literallt ate just the chips.
I've never ever been to somewhere and we've all come away hungry due to the food not being edible. Nearly £50 we spent on meals for 6 of us (4 children and 2 adults) and had to go and fork out more money to stop the children being hungry on the drive home.
Nearly Ruined what should of been a lovely catch up after not seeing each other for over a year, was just lucky the company of my friend and our children was absolutely amazing.
Will most certainly not be returning, staff also need to learn to be more approachable and not roll their eyes and huff when you mention about the food, if they don't want people to reply to their "is everything ok with the food" with the truth, then I advise them not to ask.
Normally if there was something wrong with my meal I'd say nothing but for the meals to be inedible, I told them about the problems when they asked. Just a shame we wasted the...
Read moreWe paid £40.99 for a 3 course Christmas dinner and was disappointed with my choice of main meal. My starter was Tomatoe and Basil soup with a warm baguette and butter, but baguette was cold. I had Root Vegetable and Walnut Wellington with sliced Carrots and Brocolli, which was overcooked, and deep fried parsnips and potatoes. Didnt have a Yorkshire pudding when it was stated. Between 5 of us there was 1 sproat and had to ask for more and when we got them, they were parr boiled and tasted horrible. The dessert was Caramalized Apple Crumble with Ice Cream and Custard but found it hard to find the Caramel. Very friendly staff but food should be sorted out. Wasnt worth the money, sorry. Didnt want to complain to spoil the day as it was the first time I had been out for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUsually we have excellent service and food here, but on this occasion the service was very poor! Our meals came out at different times, meaning some of the party had already eaten by the time we got ours. The food was mixed up and incorrect and when we approached staff, they were quite rude huffing and puffing. And when the last meal, my meal came out it was slammed on the table. That meal was also incorrect as I ordered the steak on a normal plate, no onions and peppers and just the peppercorn sauce. We always come to the wildwood as we live in cannock and there isn't a decent restaurant there. I would like the staff to be trained better, to check orders twice before they bring them over and take it easy when busy and not stress so much as that is what causes the...
