Was so incredibly busy when we got there, that we thought we wouldn’t be able to get a table. So we thought this place must be good, since it is so visited. We did get a table, and it was a pretty good experience, both the service (when they got around to us), and pretty good food.
We started out with being seated, and after looking at the menu, we waited for service for around 20 minutes. I finally got eye contact with one of the waiters, and shortly thereafter they came to our table. From here on out, the service was very lovely, attentive and friendly. The wait was a bit tiresome, but it felt worth it afterwards.
The food was pretty good, not over the top good, but fairly decent . It was a vegan English breakfast, which we were so happy about, because we were on the look out for vegan food, so that was a plus. The smoothies on the other hand was lovely!
The reason for not giving 5 stars for the atmosphere, was because of the ambiance in the sound quality. The place consists of many hard surfaces, such as wood tables, hard floor, plaster walls and ceilings. There his meant that because the place was so packed (and I suspect it would have been the same with less guests), the noise was as thrown around, and made the place very noisy and difficult to relax completely. Creating some softer surfaces, such as table cloths, more things on the walls (sound proofing things, that will stop the sound from bouncing around), and some big plants, would all help make the atmosphere more calm and inviting.
All in all, we had a lovely breakfast, and we might come back again, next time our path brings...
Read moreHave been here a few times & cannot fault the delicious food, and normally friendly service. It is VERY noisy in this cafe; today a rather sullen looking waitress took our order, I ordered the coffees & heard her say something but because it was so noisy, I asked “sorry, what was that?”, after which she stared at me blankly and rather rudely replied “I said yeah” I carried on with my order politely, after being slightly taken aback by her tone, and have to say that her attitude rather ruined the enjoyment of my breakfast here today.
I know exactly what it’s like for anyone with a public facing role, and sympathise with them completely when they come up against rude customers, and we all have bad days, but when you encounter staff that look like they’d rather stick pins in their eyes than be serving and are rude to polite & considerate customers, it’s not a very nice thing to do to someone and does ruin the dining out experience, bearing in mind that this place is not cheap!
I love the food here, but that one particular waitress could do with a bit of training in customer service skills for her public...

Lolo’s Cafe Bistro is hands down our favorite local spot! I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal here, and trust me, I’ve had plenty. At one point, I was having more breakfasts here than at home in a week—that’s how much I love their food!
My husband swears by their shakshuka, which is always packed with flavor, while I’m completely obsessed with their French toast. Honestly, I’ve never had better French toast anywhere else—it’s just perfect every time!
The team at Lolo’s is another reason we keep coming back. They’re always so friendly and warm, making every visit feel like a treat.
What truly stands out is the quality of their food—everything is freshly cooked and consistently high-quality. Whether it’s a cozy breakfast or a leisurely brunch, Lolo’s never disappoints....
