Sea Breeze Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Stevenage

Can’t say I would be a returning customer. Don’t live too far from this place so decided to give it a try but in future I would give it a miss!

Staff were friendly but unfortunately the food was woeful. Good deals available and it soon became apparent why. The chips were of a decent size but if they weren’t brown and over cooked they were undercooked, which is clearly because they keep re-frying them. Sausage in batter was soggy and closer to a savaloy, maybe I’m being up tight but I like my sausage in batter to be crispy!

My other half had a chicken and mushroom pie which had clearly been microwaved from frozen then left in the hot counter for god knows how long as it was rock solid and mostly inedible!

I will definitely not be returning and if I could I would vote less than 1 star. Shocking standard of food, it’s fish and chips is it...

We visit this fish&chip shop for first time and we are not disappointed. We order big order and all to come around £38. We order 2 junior chips and roast chicken, saveloy sausage , some curry sauce, large cod, large chips,chicken strips and calamari. Chips where nice not oily. Fish was good but not cooked to order. Chicken was very nice just overprice. Calamari where good to but little disapointed, taste little frozen ,not freash. The best of our order where the chicken strips. Very surprising good and juicy. This fish&chip shop have lots different food. We will come back to try some more food for sure. Inside of the shop is very nice just very loud music...

Came here to try out a different chip shop, Well, firstly I want to give a massive thank you to the guys on shift. The hospitality I received went above and beyond they let me taste the curry sauce 😋 😜 which I ended up buying a pot of 🤣 so moreish.. Delicious I would like a bit more of a kick but not everyone likes 🔥 🥵 it was still fantastic, batter was crispy not greasy at all perfectly made large generous portion sizes, meal deal came with a complimentary tartar which was a lovely touch the chips were fresh, hot and not greasy delicious just the way I like them 😋 nom nom...
