Finger Post Hotel — Restaurant in Stockport

I have never been to the finger post before and was looking for a venue for my little boys christening. I couldn't have found a better place for my party. Not only is the pub beautiful but the staff are warm and friendly and the food was amazing! We had looked at local golf clubs and hotels but the finger post was not only the best for price but space and quality too. I will certainly be making this my local pub if only to try the wonderful looking Sunday roasts that were passing by!!! It would be helpful if the people serving behind the bar could pay attention to the customers and not be busy cooing over a baby. I would like to say the food was good. However, as the female behind the bar thought that lambs liver was a roast, and therefore we couldn’t have that on a Saturday, we decided not to eat. We had no confidence in their ability to get it right. My Diet Pepsi was in fact full fat so it was a good call.

She did offer us a barm instead ☹️ Honestly what’s the point in having a bar menu if the people serving don’t know what’s what.

My friends pub, went down Saturday night for his 60th birthday party.. Wow, food was lovely, atmosphere brilliant. Am very proud of my long time friend Wayne Nuttall. He did a great party, one of the best ave been tooooo🎉. All the girls behind the bar were on it. The chef deserves a big shout out, well done mate. And l will be going again soon. Lovely big pub, and if you can put out a massive hot buffet like that, bring on a proper pub grub....
