We’ve recently moved up north and been craving a good fish and chips! I made the mistake of reading the reviews after I had already ordered on Deliveroo and was so stressed about my food swimming in grease, thanks to so many of you! I also assumed it would be soggy and luke warm, as it takes a while for the delivery and it would be sweating in the bag.

Happy to say I was wrong about it all! The fish was still crispy and delicious! Love that it was packed separately too! Yes there was a small puddle of oil underneath it but nothing a paper towel didn’t fix- it is FRIED fish after all! You know it’s good fish when you can eat all of it, batter included and I DID! No soggy bits in sight!

Chips were good too, tasted fresh- need an option on Deliveroo for extra extra vinegar though, as I like mine drowned lol luckily I had some at home anyway. Curry sauce was nice, standard chip shop curry- no additions like some places, which I’m thankful for! Don’t mess with greatness

There's a bus stop right outside so you may have to park on the side roads or at co-op grocery store which is one street down.

Wish I lived opposite as the food is amazing. I live in Stockport and gave tried 4 other fish and chips shops and this is so far the best.

I ordered a large cod and chips, which I do on every visit, and it was crispy, with just the right amount of batter to fish ratio. It was also very large. I even had enough for the next day. Fish was fully cooked, flakey and moist. Chips were big portioned and tasty.

These guys can even tailor make a meal such as chips, pie, cheese and gravy.

Me and the Mrs order over the phone, so when we drive to the shop its already ready to pick and be paid for.

Lovely food as always. But unfortunately everytime I've been I've not exactly been made to feel welcome. There's one lady that each time I've been she's not been horrible to me, it just feels like she's judging me, as soon as I walk in she looks me up a down. I see the same lady smile and make small talk with other customers, but then she just glares at me completely emotionless and speaks to me sternly almost like I'd upset her, but I don't know her. The foods amazing and I would come here more often if I was made to feel welcome and not feel like I'm being judged. I would of given them 5 stars otherwise.
