Not very good at all. Waitress rushed us through kept pestering stating the car very as about to close despite us advising we was eating off the menu, not that friendly. Ordered ribs for starter which were overlooked, dry and hard to get off the bone. Was promised fresh veg with the Fish Pie main as the carvery had "closed" when the meal came out there was a MOUND of veg that had clearly just been re-heated, mushy and bland (see photo) so much it put you off your meal. Disappointed as the place looks lovely and had just been refurbed.... they clearly need a new chef to go with the makeover as we won't be returning and I'm sure others will be of the same mind. We did complain and to be fair to them they did knock the fish pie off the bill, but would have rather gone away eating a meal.

Food: reasonably priced, presentation good, came to our table quick and tasted great. Drinks: a little on the expensive side but having said that the glasses were chilled and the mixture of ice and berries in my pink gin and lemonade went down a treat. Customer service and staff: i give this place an 11/10 for brilliant customer service, friendly, attentive and bubbly staff who were constantly within reaching distance for anything you might need and for removing pots from the tables and cleaning them down to ensure a nice clean space without being intrusive. Absolutely outstanding. A* goes out to Lily who served us. Would highly recommend people to give this place a try.

A fantastic pub decorated beautifully. There's a lovely conservatory to have your meal too. I had the carvery. There was about 5 different meat choices and huge Yorkshire puddings. Pigs in blankets are available at an extra charge. There's a great selection of vegetables. Lovely roast potatoes, boiled potatoes, mushy peas, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, mixed vegetables. 3 types of gravy. Vegetarian, meaty gravy and gravy with peppercorns. The usual sauces are available, apple, cranberry, mint. Our server was Marc who was just delightful. Me and my friend will definitely be coming back.

Went there for a christening and built this doughnut wall!...got there at 12 and was told we had the room until 3. We got asked to clear the room just after 2 which was a surprise as there was lots of us eating/drinking. Luckily the weather was lovely so we sat in the beer garden. Wouldn't have been happy getting moved out if the room early gad it been raining outside though. Stayed outside for a few hrs and didn't see 1 person in the room that we got asked to leave...bit better communication needed

Great spot for a carvery in Stockport! The gammon on the carvery was next-level. Juicy, perfectly cooked, and just the right amount of saltiness, it was absolutely delicious. The rest of the roast was good too, but that gammon stole the show for me. Service was spot on, super friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was really warm and welcoming. It's one of those pubs where you can just relax and enjoy a proper hearty meal. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

We visited for the first time today. Lovely pub on the outside and the inside. Plenty of parking and seating inside and outside. Dog friendly with a cute barrel style water station. Food was excellent and arrived promptly. Service was the best we have received in a very long time which has prompted my review. We were served by Marc who was lovely, friendly and polite. Thank you Marc for making our visit a lovely one. You are a credit to the Almond Pubs family :)
