The White Hart — Restaurant in Stockport

Went in for a monday night quiz. Good atmosphere in the pub, but my god the quiz just dragged. The hashtag quiz host managed to run for 3 hours. Allbeit started slightly later than the billed time of 8.00pm. But it was gone 11 before he then finished the actual quiz. No actual music in a music round either. It was okay for a night but sorry to say became dull and very uninteresting after about the 2nd hour if not before.

I mean he ran all the way to last orders. Didn't help it was somewhat quiet where we has sat as the host had just 1 speaker that pointed away from us.

Just a point but its called SPEEDQUIZZING everything about the night was just slow. Pub was good, beer was reasonably priced. Quiz on the other...

Even though I'm local I've never really warmed to the white Hart. I used to see Brakes brothers lorries delivering food which guaranteed I would never eat there so I can't comment on the meals other than it's the same ingredients they use at schools !. Now under new ownership and the landlord seems ok, he is trying to improve the menu and has a new chef so only time will tell But I must admit I've Not seen Brakes brothers since the take over. The beer is ok as always, still the most expensive in woodley though. Only thing I really don't like is the new decor, it looks so cold and unwelcoming, really needs changing back and those cold light led bulbs changing...

Came in for a meal on Sunday. The food was fabulous. We had the Sunday dinner and would highly recommend! There was a lovely waiter I think I caught her name as Tailor, she was very polite and made the effort to check everything was okay with our meal. On the other hand, there was another waitress working (didn’t catch her name) she had dark hair and tattoos but she was very rude, did not once smile or make an effort with any customers as she was either stood on her phone in the corner or no where to be seen. The only reason I am giving two stars is due to that member of staff everything else...
