StartPoint Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Stockport

Visited this place today with my sister in law. After waiting half an hour for a piece of cheese on toast when it came it was ot what I expected. I asked the staff if I could change it for something also and was immediately hit with an attitude from one of the staff. I ordered something else and handed my money over and was then told I had to leave the shop because I complained. I asked to speak to the manager and was told by the staff member who told me to leave that it was her mum while she was smirking at me and wobbling her head. Then was told if I didn't leave the shop she would get somebody to get me out? A man came out the back of the shop. I explained to him that I wasn't raising my voice and just wanted something to eat. Again being told over and over again to get put of the shop. I had handed £10 over to pay for what I ordered and was then told that I didn't?? So on top of her rude attitude I was also accused of being a liar!!! That girl seriously needs an attitude check and lessons in customer relations!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING...

Lovely friendly staff make this a great place to go and make their customers feel very welcome. They're helpful with suggestions from the menu or offering alternatives if they're running short on something. The place is very comfortable and the standard of cleanliness is very high. There are a variety of choices of types of place to sit which also makes for a very comfortable feeling. There's plenty of choice on the menu and staff are happy to discuss or adapt things if you should need to. The food was tasty and arrived reasonably soon after ordering. Aside from the quality components of an exceptional bacon butty and brew just thought I'd pass comment on something that happened there this week. At the time the cafe was full and an elderly lady dropped her plate and with it her sandwich. The plate shattered and of course the food was ruined. A lady member of staff immediately came over to reassure the customer, check she was ok and dismiss any need for apology immediately offering a free replacement though the elderly lady declined.
