The Woodley Arms — Restaurant in Stockport

Been calling in a few times on a Saturday... Won't do ever again though.

Charged my card twice.

Landlady claims there is an ongoing investigation for the last 3 months with the people who supply the card machine & this has happened to 8 people... yet they continue to use it?!

Landlady refused to refund me as she, and I quote 'doesn't like parting with money' & 'I'm more pissed off about it than you'

You aren't trust me. I've reported it to my bank and I'll be contacting stocky licencing.

Might only be a tenner but it the principle and her cocky attitude. Joker.

If you can't afford to stand a tenner or 2 pints don't run a pub.

I tried twice & the landlady fobbed me.off twice, first time over the phone and second time face to face, even with proof on my bank statement.

My bank refunded my money.

The Woodley arms is looking great and hosts pool tournaments for the local teams.

They also hold a Wednesday club for the ageing regulars but everyone welcome.... Singing, dancing, smiley bingo (like using numbers but with smiley faces 🤣🤣)

Darts available and live sports... No food is being served currently

called in to the Woodley arms after coming back off holiday , was met by friendly staff very helpful had a chat to them and made me feel very welcome ... had the burger and chips which was done to perfection what you would expect in a top resaraunt ended up staying rest of the night with a dj on with a range of indie to rock ..
