Fins n Fry's — Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

This is the first time in 30+ years of there being a ‘chip shop’ here that we have had to return food. When it was Moby Dix & Big Fish Little Fish, the quality and service was consistently good. My dad would go every Friday but will now be going to Riverside instead as the quality has gone significantly downhill with Fins n Fry’s.

The buttermilk chicken loaded chips is one of the poorest quality meals I have ever been given. The chicken was so tough that you could not insert a fork into it - even with significant force. The colour of the chicken was also very questionable and the garlic mayo had no taste to it.

This is all compounded by the painfully slow service, as they don’t seem to be setup to take on multiple orders simultaneously. Fins & Fry’s did replace the meal with an alternative, but without much care about the issue with the original meal.

Dont really like ordering from new takeaways, usually end up so disappointed but im so glad we ordered from here. Everything came nice and hot, considering we were in blurton. We decided to get a mixture of things see what it was like..... OMG! SUPERB! never in my life have i been shocked by food. It usually just goes down but i actually really enjoyed it to the point i rang them up and thanked them! Dont get me wrong the portions weren't like some places heaped and tasteless, im a big eater but these were satisfying and very enjoyable.The Prices were also reasonable compared to others in the area. Would not enter this place again, horrible food bring back the chip shop. 7 taxi's parked outside ...dont know what that is about..Take a look at photo's on other reviews and you will see taxi's.
