This is a lovely restaurant with beautiful decor and a warm soft ambiance... We had pre booked, recommended especially during this current pandemic. In any event we had a 5.30 booking on a Friday and it was quite full.. We were seated quickly, with clean tables and the staff quickly presented menus. Our waiter was lovely with a great sense of humour and gave some recommendations. I had 3 non alcoholic mojitos, elderflower and 2 kiwi & strawberry. The kiwi and strawberry was by far my favourite but I have a sweet tooth. To start I had the fish tempura mix with sea bass, prawns and squid.. it was nice.. a tiny bit oily but still enjoyable. We also had the crispy beef stripe and fried camembert... the camembert was fantastic with an interesting onion dip as opposed to a jam. My main was the pork belly, unfortunately it wasn't the greatest, it came with an interesting bacon and cider mash, I wasn't particularly enamoured with it... we also had the salmon skewers which were very tasty, salmon was cooked beautifully .. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert, but they had some interesting options on the menu. Overall was a lovely birthday meal and I think next time I would definitely go for the dirty burger next time as it comes recommended... Would definitely come here again if I am ever in Stoke. Nice for families, couples, birthdays, all occasions.

The atomsphere was mild (which is okay for me, maybe not for others). There was music quietly playing in the background and the general level of noise was lovely. You could easily hold a conversation at a normal level. Outdoor seating is available. Inside, the lighting is dime, however most if not all of the dining area have massive glass windows facing them, allowing a vast amount of light to come in and brighten the room, making it look more spacious. The staff were generally very polite and came over a few times to check to see if everything was okay, which is nice to see. Bear in mind it was a quite evening so wouldn't know if this is still obtainable during busier evenings. The food was great and well presented (as you can see via the pictures). I did have a bit of a problem with my meal in which the paper underneath my food started to break up and I accidentally started to consume it. Now I don't know if this is an error on my half or whether this incident could be a thing that The Orange Tree Bar need to be made aware of. I ended up not bringing it up with the staff. Hopefully they will be aware of it by reading this lengthy review. Plus any possible future diners will also be aware of it too. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would go and dine there again. If I could I would give 4.5⭐️

First visit here, was surprised to see the restaurant bursting at the seams for a Thursday evening. Our table was booked for 7pm, but we had to wait half an hour. The bar area gets packed very quickly so it can be a bit awkward having to squeeze to let people past. However the service was friendly and prompt despite how busy the place was. It is probably sink or swim for workers here and they certainly deal with it well. The two courses for £22 is decent value, the chicken tenders were excellent. The burger for a main was pink in the middle (perfect), with a nice cheese sauce and bacon on. My only complaint was it was a little over salty, but the burger size was decent. The onion rings as a side are huge, you only need a portion to share really. This is the first pub I've been in serving the new version of Moretti with the salt in, which is a very smooth pint, but pricey at £6.50. They do have Heineken 0% on draft which is £5, always nice to have a zero beer on draft. The ambience is nice but it can get loud especially I imagine being close to Christmas. The decorations looked great and it had a cosy feeling. Another excellent Paragon venue!

Really disappointed with our experience tonight. I’ve wanted to eat at this place for a number of years, and decided to for my birthday this week. I had high hopes for tonight. The online pictures and the menu looked great. Unfortunately the good impressions were the best of it all! I booked two weeks in advance and when I called tonight to confirm the booking, I was told it doesn’t exist. How? But we got a table anyway. The waitresses are teenage girls, and the service is impersonal. It took 20 minutes for our orders to even be taken. When the food arrived it was very average. It was slammed down onto the table carelessly, and it was seriously lacking in seasoning, and the portions were quite small. If I’m paying almost £18 for a main course, I don’t expect to have to season it myself. This appears to be a trend with the Paragon group. Needless to say, we went to McDonald’s and had a McFlurry for dessert! This is a chain trying to masquerade as high end. I don’t recommend it, and I wouldn’t come here again. BTW they force you to pay a tip, and don’t tell you this at all.

I am gutted to say that me and the girls had such a disappointing meal. After looking forward to it all day we were devastated. That being said we had lovely small plates shared between the 3 of us and wished we ordered more of those and not mains. The chicken Milanese was awful. The sauce tasted off to the point where i didn’t eat any of my meal. My friend offered to swap and ordered the prawn linguine which was not linguine it was spaghetti so that was a disappointment. The prawns were raw and the sauce that was meant to be chilli and garlic tasted like stale water. We also ordered the side of chips (Chimichurri & cheese) which were over cooked All 3 of us were gutted. When we got the bill the service charge was around £15 which we took off the bill due to the fact our meals were so poor and no voucher or money off was offered. Absolutely gutted as the other paragon groups around us are wonderful and we like to visit all of them. Recommend the small plates but main dishes be careful what you choose.

Visiting friends in the area we came for a late lunch early dinner, making the table order quite all over the road. The atmosphere is upscale yet casual. We had quite the varied starters. The tempura cauliflower was quite a hit as were the fish cakes. My lunch was an extremely filling, flavoured cesar salad. For me a good sign is generously portioned anchovies in the salad itself. I may have been on a bit of a fish mood .. my salad was topped with a gorgeous sea bass. My friends chicken squer was a hit. As was the fish and chips. The fish was sea bass, and once again it comes down to the batter. The kitchen must be using some mysterious magical potion... It was crunch yet delicate. Flavoured... But not so as to detract from the fish. My friends sandwich was quite filling as well. He said the flavours went well together. Meanwhile the service was with a smile and friendly. Overall a wonderful meal!
