Queen Desserts is a new dessert shop and patisserie selling items ranging from simple ice creams and milkshakes to complex and stunning dishes such as waffles and Crepes. [Please read the summary for a quick review]

Now to be clear, this is nothing new and dessert shops offering the same are everywhere in Stoke, but as your local guide, I can't help but try a new restaurant and to see what the unique selling point is. I went to dine in personally with my brother to try their menu at a critical point of view.

After entering the shop at a late night hour, we were greeted warmly and helped inside to our seats. There were around 4 tables including one family sitting so the decor was not bad. The art and lights did seem to wake me up however the pink colour scheme was a lot better, living up to the name "Queen." The decor was a 4/5 only let down being the cake stand which only showed a few slices and seemed quite sad.

After looking at the expansive menu we ordered an Oreo Crêpe, Rafaello Waffle and Tropical mocktail with a Snickers milkshake and Velvet cake to go (with cream). I paid through card however their method was through a qr code which makes it awkward if your mobile device cannot scan it. It is best to order online or via cash when dining in. Though it was easy for me, it's still a hastle.

After waiting under 20 mins the Crêpe was served (see image). As with most dessert shops, the presentation was awe inspiring and absolutely beautiful and the ice cream was separated in a tub so it didn't melt next to the warm crêpe. A slight nitpick from me would be the fact the waffle wasn't served together. The actual taste of the Crêpe was a slight let down, the base of the Crêpe was soft and gorgeous but ruined by the huge chunky Oreos which had a stale texture due to being heated. I'd advise to make the Oreos slightly less chunky. The crepe was a 3/5

Not long after my Rafaello Waffle was served and again the presentation was amazing as always. However this, unlike the Crêpe, was a lot better. This by far is a unique waffle as it's served with a Rafaello ice cream which I haven't seen, it was divine and the textures were beautiful. This was a solid 5/5.

Finally the Tropical mocktail was served, (we had originally ordered Blueberry mocktail but the waitress told us they were out) the tropical mocktail was made with fresh fruits, which is always amazing to see, served in a glass with Rio tropical sparkling soft drink. Once we'd have finished it, we were offered a can to refill it with fruits left in. Absolutely generous behaviour from the staff, again a 5/5, as it was simple but effective.

The service from the waitresses was amazing and they tried their hardest to ensure we were happy and all was to Par. We had noticed they had served a customer who had no money at the time and promised to pay tomorrow, the owner trusted the customer and served them. This was a very inspiring act to witness. The only let down was the cutlery. They used wooden disposable forks knives and spoons not to mention they had run out of wooden forks. This alone had ruined the eating experience for me and dropped the rating of the service to 3/5

Once we headed out we tried the Snickers milkshake and Red Velvet cake at home. The Red Velvet cake was amazing and definitely made fresh and not frozen, absolutely worth it and the taste was divine. 5/5. However the Snickers milkshake is by far the BEST milkshake I have ever had in the stoke area. This was beyond my expectations and I rate this 6/5 which I rarely do.

Overall, the new modern Queen Desserts is a gorgeous site filled with amazing staff. The prices are very affordable compared to other dessert shops. Highly recommend their milkshakes with cream. My final rating is...

I use to order from My desert and My little dessert from Hanley, but since I have tasted queens desert, I was amazed by the taste and the service I have been getting. The way they prepare and present the crepes and the waffles, is absolutely amazing, the fillings in them are so generously filled. They take extra care when they prepare it. The first word comes out of your mouth, when opening the box is “WOW” Since then I have never ordered from My desert or The little desert. It’s the Best desert ever tasted. 10/10 absolutely recommend it!!!!!!!!! Keep up your hard work QUEENS...

My food from here has always been nice until now, when I recieved a milkshake that me and another person both found to be inedable. After calling to complain, I was told Sorry and that they'd check the machine and then told bye. So I payed nearly £5 for a milkshake that I couldn't drink and not even offered a refund or a replacement. In my opinion this was very poor customer service and this experience makes me not want to order from here again.

I hope that as a business you reassess your protocol for handling complaints and take more care in regards to your customers'...

This delightful little spot has quickly become our favourite since it opened. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. The real highlight, however, is the desserts. Each item is delicious, with wonderful flavours, and you can't go wrong no matter what you choose from the menu. We've visited multiple times and sampled a variety of treats, from cakes and doughnuts to ice creams and waffles, with the mocktails being a particular favourite. It's also open until late, which is fantastic. I'll keep updating the photos, as we're sure to keep coming back.

EXCEPTIONAL! What a find this was. We fancied a sweet treat and stumbled upon this from a quick google search. Their menu choices are brilliant! Everything from Ice Cream to Baklava to milkshakes and beyond! The price is fantastic! We ordered a milkshake, a Sunday, 4 Baklava and a small tub of gelato and it was all under £14! The taste was amazing! The staff were polite and helpful. Overall this is a delightful little shop and I will be returning.....again....and again!
