It's a nice typical old style pub. Very clean nice & welcoming staff very helpful without being over the top. We had lunch & were warned that mine could take a little longer to cook. When the food arrived (which wasn't that long) I had the Tandoori sizzler & my partner had the Hunters chicken. It was presented well & tasted fantastic, I'll certainly visit here again. Didn't have a dessert as there wasn't room sadly. Maybe next time.

Nice country style pub with good food, not a 5 star place but good. The sizzlers were excellent, and also the peppercorn sauce I had with it. My friend had the roast of the day and wasn’t pleasantly impressed that the carrots were (over)boiled and not roasted nicely. Huge quantity of gravy. Free Parking available in front.

Food and staff both lovely, really nice venue with a large outdoor seating area. We were with a vegan and unfortunately the vegan menu hadn't been updated for a few months so no vegan cheesecake anymore so that was a bit of a let down for them as it was the reason we went, but the food was good and nice portion sizes.

Recently visited with family for a get-together for a meal and drink. I picked the Furlong Tavern, having been there before and living locally. Recent reviews appeared positive, so I felt confident I'd made a good choice. The staff gave us a warm welcome, and the service was quick. My pint of Doombar was below average, being very slightly hazy and not tasting like it should. Other drinks ordered were mostly soft drinks, so they were as expected. Out of the 12 meals ordered, the ones with chips were very disappointing. The regular chips were undercooked and oily. Nobody finished their chips. Normally, I would raise such issues straight away, but I felt embarrassed as I had picked the Furlong Tavern for our meal. The remainder of the meals were acceptable, but my onions on my sizzle platter were undercooked. Everyone enjoyed the pie, lasagne, burger, chicken and fish meals except for the poorly cooked chips. I did, however, notice that later in the evening, the surrounding tables had better-looking chips with their meals so feel that maybe there was a glitch in...

Myself and my family have been coming to The Furlong for years, and we have always been happy. Tonight, however, was quite a different experience. We came as a family group of 9 for a birthday meal, the food was nowhere near the quality that it was. The chips, which is what was always our favourite part, tasted totally different and old! Other family members left a lot of their food because it was not cooked to a decent standard and was served lukewarm. The waiting on staff were miserable. Then to top it off, the £5 per person deposit that was paid in advance was questioned when we came to pay, luckily we had proof of payment. As a family we feel that the quality of this place as whole has really declined, but the price has gone up! Also, it was so incredibly loud in there that we could barely hear each other speak. We will not be returning to the Furlong, and neither will any of the people that we were with, so essentially that’s lost custom from three families. Very...

We went for a fmaily meal there was a large number of us, honestly the staff were real friendly and it is clearly a popular pub as was so busy, however honestly the food was not to my taste.....i had the tandori chicken sizzler, it was too sweet for my taste and i was expecting a dry rub as tandori usually is, however I will say the portion size was very good. Our table also ordered a chilli con carnie, which i thought was nice but was rather too heavey on the chilli flavour which spoilt the dish a little. Another dish our table had was lesagne which was good however the skin on Fries were laden with greece and were not very hot at all as if they had sat in oil for ages. I would not say it was terrible but because i didn't enjoy the meal i dont think i would return.... There were positives and negatives to our meal and a real mixed bag. It was very clean, staff very friendly and turned around tables quickley. A 3 starts is fair for...
