Starbucks Coffee — Restaurant in Stratford-on-Avon

I’ve been to this drive through a few times but always sat inside, it’s a cold place with zero atmosphere but that’s not a problem, Saturday I was stuck in a horrendous traffic jam at junction 11 just before these services, after 1.5 hours on the motorway engine switched off I was on my way, I stopped at this Starbucks services. The staff said there was no trade for 2 hours and I explained there was a major traffic jam, yet the tables and place in general was a filthy mess, no one had cleaned anything. I ordered a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and a decaf cappuccino. He forgot to charge me for the sandwich. So it was £4.10. Although I said I will sit inside they gave me my drink in a take away cup and my toasted sandwich in a paper bag, I went and sat down, my sandwich had been microwaved to within a inch of its life and was inedible. Coffee was awful. To sum up lazy staff who couldn’t give a ####. Poor staff training and attitude. Starbucks have lost its way this is a regular poor experience, I’m done...

As someone else pointed out, it was easier going here than the Starbucks in the main service station - which had a HUGE queue when we passed by. Instead, we walked over to the far side of the car park and tried here, which had - at the time - only one customer already seated at a table.

There were three staff, but they were focussed on the Drive Thru. I would have liked to get a bit of an acknowledgement - as it was, I don't think I even had eye contact for a few minutes as they jostled back and forth behind the counter. All it takes is a nod, a welcome, and a rough idea of how long it might be before someone will take our order.

Went to get a coffee and something to eat to break up a long drive. Visited the toilets first, me the ladies and my son the gents. It was so disgusting in there that we didn’t stay to buy anything. Used toilet tissue and rubbish on the floors, dirty toilets and the walls/ door looked like it hadn’t been wiped down for years (despite the fact they were a dark colour). They stank to put it bluntly. The restaurant was quiet so no excuse for not checking the toilet facilities and making sure they are clean.
