I was warned that a band were playing when I booked so said prob best that I didn’t book as we wanted to chat with our friends who we hadn’t seen for a while. I was told we would be put in the snug so would be perfectly ok. Well we weren’t - it was too noisey. Plus no peppercorn sauce for our steaks but then when we asked if we could order a dessert was told no they were too busy and the chef had gone home. The manageress then said she would sort it for us but when we said what we wanted - no hadn’t got that. Lovley staff, friendly locals. Unfortunately when it's very quiet you should have to expect to wait 1hr 25 mins for a meal. We asked for 1 starter and 1 main to be served at the same time as I wanted something much lighter than a full meal. The starter arrived after and hr and 25 mins after ordering and tye main had to be asked for meaning I didnt want to eat along now my starter is cold and the main took another 20 mins to arrive. Quick meal out for myself and my partner. Both had cocktails (2 for £9.60) a Dr.P and a Bumbu Colada.
