Indian Garden — Restaurant in Stroud

Gets 4's for great service (1 lost just because my favourite/usual dish wasn't quite as hot as I like/in some places and was a bit watery- I'll just get a hotter dish next time & see if wateryness was one off). The local takeaway has great food but they always take way longer than they say (if it arrives at all!). Tonight I thought I'd try somewhere else. The delivery was significantly earlier than estimated (very quick and it's Saturday night) and the driver was polite. He forgot to give me my drink so I phoned up Indian Garden & they phoned him whilst I was still on the line. Excellent customer service, starters were good, needs more visual attention to detail on mains, perswari naan was not great, expected to taste coconut and see raisins . All the Indian restaurants I have been in I have never had a service charge, but it said they would take it off if asked. No hot towel when finished meal, never known that before. But what concerns me the most is the toilet. The ladies also doubled up as the disabled toilet, not a problem. But the lack of grab rails to assist at sink, and no drop down rail by the toilet, would be a big concern to anyone who has limited mobility. Please look into this...

Visited with a small group on a Friday evening...place was fairly quiet and located in what appears to be a shed extension within the pub courtyard, which is slightly odd in itself. Service was fairly good and friendly, but the food was slightly disappointing for me. Although I ordered a medium dish, it would seem that the spice level was way, way above what I was expecting (and used to, from having a dhansak as my usual choice in any restaurant).
