Woody's — Restaurant in Stroud

The last 3 times my partner has gotten us woodys for breakfast it’s been inconsistent and disappointing. Woodys has one good chef and it seems like that good chef needs to train the rest of them. Inconsistent hash browns, one day they’re cooked and crispy, the next day they fall apart from being undercooked and taste like onion instead. The fried eggs can be requested well done, however one side is cooked and the other side seems to touch the grill for two seconds which results in a jelly like egg white and a runny yolk which is not what we requested. We’ve wasted too much money here lately and I’m tired of not eating the breakfast I’ve paid for because of the inconsistency. I’ve tried writing this review so many times in the past because I’ve received inconsistent meals too many times but I’ve deleted it because you guys were nice to my partner. Doesn’t matter anymore, we were regulars and then you told us we made too many adjustments. We’re autistic. Excellent value, lovely relaxed atmosphere, great staff. Popped in for a takeaway sausage sandwich and got a coffee while I waited. I should have ordered the coffee to go as my sandwich was ready almost immediately. The sausages were not gourmet, but they were obviously cooked with care, and these are not gourmet prices. In fact, the value for money was great. The coffee was really good, from a machine that was obviously clean, something you can taste if it's not, I have found. The staff here seem to really care. Looking for a mid-journey stop on the way home from Exmouth to Northampton and Woody’s popped up on Google maps.
