Unfortunately, today's experience through the drive-through will mean I won't go back there, doubt they'll be bothered, but would just like to share the reason for the low rating. Can't really comment much on the food, my daughter just wanted 6 chicken nuggets and a small fries (she loves the chicken nuggets and that is all she will eat from there). They were nice and hot. Not much to say. They were your basic chicken nuggets and fries from McDonald's. Service was okay until I asked if they had a fork at the window where you collect the food. The young girl serving looked surprised and asked another young girl who said, "What for?!" in a rude tone of voice. There were comments between them, I got a strange looks and they all just stood looking at each other and then at me, until I was given a fork. The exchange didn't take long, although it seemed like it, but it made me feel annoyed when they had a good giggle about someone asking for a fork to eat their chicken nuggets and chips. My daughter was extremely embarrassed. Unbeknown to them, my daughter is Autistic and will not eat her food without a fork as she doesn't like touching her food. I do not need to explain this to anyone. However, I am explaining to them to prove to them that yes, they may only be young, yes, it's only a fast food restaurant... but they still need to maintain a friendly, professional and responsible approach towards all your customers (as in all hospitality services), as you do not know their circumstances! You do not be childish, rude or make fun of them. If any of their staff read this, I would ask them to please, next time, stop and think before you make fun of anyone. Many people have hidden disabilities or other problems... it takes nothing and costs nothing to be courteous and kind to others! I am sure you would not like it if it were to happen to yourself or...
Read moreI believe I am right in thinking that McDonalds is supposedly a fast food restaurant, however that was not what I experienced tonight when I went through the drive-thru to get my daughter a veggie wrap (which I might add is the only vegetarian option on the menu). I sat in the queue of two cars for 5 minutes before I was able to place my order, then once I'd paid for my meal I had to wait a further 15 minutes before I actually received it, without being informed that there may be a slight wait and we did not receive an apology for our wait. Then when my daughter tried her banana milkshake that she got with the meal, it tasted like chocolate! This immediately implied that they do not clean the equipment after each use to allow each customer to have a satisfactory meal. I am very disappointed with the service I received and unfortunately this is not the first case of an incident like this...
Read moreThis Mcdonald's should be open until 12am on a Thursday. I arrived at 11pm on a Thursday night to meet my friend. It was closed so i left my car in the car park for half an hour while i got in my friends car to pop along the road to the next Mcdonald's. I got back to this Mcdonald's car park about half an hour later and sat in my friends car right next to my own for an hour then drove home. A week later I get a parking fine for leaving my car for half an hour unattended. Had this Mcdonald's been open when it was supposed to be i would not have been issued a £100 parking fine. I advise people go to the Mcdonald's at Washington, just a 5 minute drive, which is actually open 24 hours. I have been told by this Mcdonald's staff that they get plenty of complaints about these cowboys issuing parking fines, yet they do nothing to rectify...
