The charming little village is home to a delightful pub that offers both indoor and outdoor seating areas, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The staff at the establishment were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, ensuring that we felt at ease and well-catered for throughout our visit. The food presentation was impressive, and the taste was equally remarkable. The chips, in particular, stood out as exceptionally delicious. The availability of Staropramen on tap was an added bonus, enhancing the overall dining experience. We look forward to returning to this establishment in the future and sampling more of their delectable menu offerings.

Visited May 26th and July 24th 2021.. It's had a serious makeover has the Keys over lockdown. And all the better for it too. Nicely decorated throughout now and has the addition of quite a large seating area outside. We had a rather tasty breakfast back in May which was excellent. Haven't tried any of the food later in the day but that'll probably come on a future visit. Called in again just a few weeks ago and sat outside for a few drinks. Again, pretty good. Staff friendly and the service good. No doubt we'll be visiting again soon as it's a local..👍

A great bar on the village green that still has a local and community feel when you go inside. They offer deals on different days such as free pool and cheaper burgers on a Thursday Nice small sitting area out the front looking across the green and tables out the back as well for the summer months. A little sun trap. They have a pool table, books to read (which can be left and taken at will), and a selection of board games that can be played. Really great little pub!

3 stars for setting, the staff, & the actual pub itself, which were admittedly, friendly & welcoming! Niceties over with, the food was a major let down! Booked table for B/fast on Saturday, 26th,July,25. Nice welcome from, I take it Mgress & Maverick the pub dog! Ordered and was initially surprised at how quickly it was served. After tasting it I understood how it came out so quickly. Yesterday's produce, had bn taken out of fridge and reheated. Egg was burst, yolk hard. Black bits off dirty pan all over white of egg. Hash Brown, not cooked, bn taken out of freezer the night b4 and not cooked properly, still cold in middle. The price is for what u get is way way over priced. First time I've witnessed toast as and Xtra at over £1 a slice! I can get a 20 + sliced loaf for that in any supermarket. Altogether £12, with an orange juice, £14.50. DISGRACE, when I can get exactly same at The Cafe or Danny's, Birtley for £7.50 Inc toast & a brew, plus it 10xs hotter & nicer! I dnt bother complaining, l just dnt bother going back and theirs usually a review I can comment on....

Compared to the keys I used to go into as a kid and young adult. This place is unrecognizable. Which is a good thing. 😂.

The location has always been incredible. In the village center. Can't get better.

Food is nice but the Sunday dinner is now one of the best in Washington.

Good selection of drinks on tap. They always seem to have the latest "craze" on tap. Currently Cruzcampo.

The staff are good crack and friendly as can be.

Good prices, not the cheapest but not the most expensive in Washington.

It used to be just an old school dingy pub. Now they decorated and improved the food. It's definitely worth the visit.

Outside area has a TV.

Unfortunately they removed the pool table. Only down...

The drinks are overpriced £1.75 for a lime and soda (70p) in the neighbouring pubs. The food is below average, I ordered peppercorn sauce for my rump steak unfortunately it poured from the jug like water, drenching the chips etc. The landlady asked if everything was ok, I explained the issue to her, her response was that she would mention it to the chef, no apology or deduction from the bill. A friend bought strips of chicken breast, chips, and gravy, the chicken was formed meat not breast! the chips were undercooked, gravy was congealed. I have experienced/witnessed different attitudes, and behaviour toward customers from one team member in particular, maybe that's why the establishment is...
