KFC Washington - The Galleries — Restaurant in Sunderland

On Sunday 2nd January 2022 my son ordered 2 chicken burgers. Chips and bucket of chicken. I was really looking forward to my 'treat' from my son. As soon as I tasted a chicken leg, I noticed a strange taste on the covering skin. I could not eat any more put of bucket but enjoyed chicken burger. We offered chicken out of bucket (removed bones) to pur dogs. Disappointed. That would have been 'it', but today I really didnt feel 100% -only had banana for breakfast. By lunch time my need to go to bathroom was extremely urgent! Without going into too much detail, My suspicion that chicken skin & coating were not fresh was very apparent. //Was it left over from New Years' Eve? Has someone new been mixing batter and flavours incorrectly (because it definitely wasn't thel 'taste' I am accustomed to consuming from you). If you get others reporting strange taste or feeling ill, I can only assume that some bacterial matter has come into contact with your "bucket" food. My son bought just before 12 noon. Worst KFC I have ever ever been too. To start with there is a member of staff walking around kicking rubbish into corners. Instead if putting it in the bin. He keeps rubbing his grubby hands all over the forks and Coffee stirrers yet I haven't seen him wash his hands once. He is the only member of staff wearing. The toilets are stinking. Just smells completely unclean. Even my 3 year old daughter was holding her nose when. She went toilet. I also heard another customer come out complaining about the smell of them.

The staff behind the counter was polite and friendly and the food arrived almost instantly. Everything we ordered was present and correct. But that's where it ended. The burger was dry the bread was disgusting. And the chicken. Was as moist as the table I was sitting at. Chips was OK. Chicken poppers wasn't the greatest. I won't be coming back to this establishment again. When there are so many good food places locally I'm surprised this KFC...

Absolute bloody joke. They had no bottle water, no orange juice & had ran out of gravy so not a great start. Against my better judgement we placed our order, whilst waiting for our order 2 people who had gone through the drive through had to come in the store because the orders were wrong, deja vu. They called our number then had to stand for 10 minutes whilst they got our drinks, a krushem & a fizzy drink which was disgusting but as I said earlier they didn't have any water. We sat down laughing at how inept the staff are. Whislt eating our burger which had been drowned in ketchup so we could only eat the bottom half a further 4 people from the drive through with wrong orders came in. How can they get it so wrong they only have to read a list....
