Delhi Spice Hyde — Restaurant in Tameside

Been meaning to try this place for a long time now and finally did. I had the Delhi Spice special kebab and in terms of value, it’s outstanding. For under £8 you get doner, chicken tikka and a seek kebab all stir fried in their tomato tandoori sauce with onions placed on a fresh naan bread cooked in a tandoori clay oven. Whilst the stir fry sauce is not overpowering, it disguises some of the individual flavours of the meat and I would best describe it as a sort of shashlik kebab. In terms of portion size, it’s very generous and comes with 2 tubs containing yoghurt mint sauce and a mild chilli sauce. In terms of price, for the size of the kebab and the time taken to cook it in the sauce, the value is outstanding and it’s definitely a bargain.

The takeaway does a range of kebabs that are mostly stir fried but you can also have them not stir fried. I don’t think this will be a regular takeaway for me but I shall certainly return...

Stumbled upon Delhi Spice via the power of social media and having noticed the local takeaways standards had slipped decided to give Delhi Spice a try and needless to say I wasn’t disappointed.

The first time I visited Delhi Spice I was impressed with the standards of the shop, it was clean/ tidy and the staff were welcoming and polite.

I decided to try the Delhi special kebab on naan bread with a side order of chips and WOW obviously having full salad (cancels out the badness 🤣) and sampling their chilli sauce 🌶 now being a 34 year old man I’m partial to a kebab for my little treat night and this one surpassed my expectations.

We’ve since ordered from this fine establishment several times sampling different items including the curries which are an absolute bargain price.

Always recommend and will continue to order from Delhi Spice for the foreseeable future.

This place use to be the go to for donner kebabs, portion size was great, value for money and tasted brilliant but it’s all gone downhill now as with cost of living you expect the prices to go up but portions sizes have halved, the donner stir fry consists of under cooked onions and a couple of slithers of pepper and extremely salty taste. The salad you get is just shredded lettuce and a circle piece of cucumber. The chips portion was a joke also they had been refried. Plenty more food establishments now based in...
