A group of 9 of us ate here on a Saturday evening. Upon arrival I found the staff to be very welcoming and pleasant. The restaurant is light and clean, with appealing decor. One downside was that everyone within our group commented how warm it was in the restaurant. It would have been nice to have some windows open. Service was good, the staff had the right balance between not hurrying us, but also readily available if we wanted to order more drinks / food etc. We ordered 3 garlic breads for the table that came out hot and fresh and were delicious. Although I enjoyed my starter of meatballs, a couple within our group commented that the calamari was not good, they found it quite chewy. On to the mains and the general feeling from the group was that they enjoyed their food. I had the T Bone steak with peppercorn sauce and chips. The meal was nice but not the best steak I’ve ever had. My friend had the fillet steak which looks delicious - wish I’d ordered that! On to the pudding and I ordered cheesecake which came with toffee sauce and ice cream. It was absolutely delicious, I would definitely recommend it. Before we left the manager brought limoncello for everyone on the table which was a nice touch. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and although this wasn’t my favourite Italian, i would still recommend to anyone in the area looking for a decent meal at a nice Italian restaurant.

Really good food, brisk but friendly service and excellent value. A group of 5, 4 from down south and all were impressed with each course from the early bird menu. My garlic bread (with cheese topping option) starter was huge and everyone remarked how lovely it was. Prawn cocktail and calamari were their choices and there were no complaints apart from the tartar being too strong for the southerners. Main of lobster ravioli was one of the best I've had. The sauce was creamy and rich and the prawns added to the dish. No room for dessert sadly. Will be a destination point when entertaining family and friends.

Food lovely!! My issue was the service, and the absolute arrogance of the staff. Granted it was busy, the waiter came over picked up the wine bottle saw there was some in it put it down and walked off. So rude, either he wanted another purchased or he wanted me gone! We was waiting on desserts at this point. They want you in and out. Won't be returning for this reason. Rushed atmosphere, staff watching tables and this let the experience down. Spent £120 + in 60 minutes- feel robbed!

Visited here for my daughters birthday on 24th March. Been regular customers to the Pagliacci for a very long time and never had any issues. Food and service is always good.

There was 10 people within our group and as imagined the bill was not cheap. This obviously was not the issue entirely.

First of all, it took almost 40 minutes between courses and one meal came out long after everyone else's. All the pasta and rissoto dishes were served but the main chicken dish came 10 minutes after. Despite asking where it was. Our table was booked at 5.30pm and we didn't leave until gone 8pm. We had children with us who understandably got impatient.

When we got the bill we had been over charged by a significant amount. We made a slight complaint about having to wait nearly 50 minutes altogether for the main meal. Also question the bill. Instead of simply fixing the problem the manager was very abrupt and rude. Saying I had to deal with having to wait it's a busy restaurant. So I accepted that but then said the food should come out all together and not when ever it's ready. He then argued this.

I did not expect anything other than maybe a genuine apology or a small gesture to redeem themselves. Instead I just got a bad attitude and now I will not...

This place is a hidden gem,we stayed at the village hotel.nearby and the receptionist recommended this restaurant for my birthday meal,it was late on Saturday evening so we wasn't expecting a table ,so we rang to ask explaining our situation, the owner was lovely and told us to head over ,on arrival we parked our car on a side road with our disabled badge and commented on how beautiful the restaurant looked ,on entering it was even more stunning, the atmosphere was wonderful, we ordered mussles and the olive starters and wine recommended buy the waitress, main meals were superb, cannelloni and I had king prawn pasta which was the best id ever tasted ,garlic bread was amazing too,we ordered 2 desserts which were served with a birthday candle and a chorus of happy birthday,we were offered a free shot each and I cannot fault the whole experience. For a late last minute booking it turned out to be the best evening ever .supern customer service, delicious food, beautiful surroundings and our bill only came to £69.00 for the two of us ,we are returning this weekend and im so looking forward to it ,Sheffield has nothing like this but its well worth the traval Thank you guys and...
