Viceroy Indian - Hyde — Restaurant in Tameside

Absolutely abysmal. Sorry. The food is good from here if you actually get it. I get that places are busy sometimes, but they lied on the phone twice to us. We had a family meal and a big order for delivery at £90+. They took 2 hours to deliver whilst stating 45 mins placing the order on their OWN website. When I called at 1hr15, they lied and told me it was being packed to go in a few mins, then 30 mins later when I called again told me it hadn't even left yet. They also cut the phone off on two occasions as well. When we asked for a refund, we got told it had just left and they just kept me waiting on the phone without bothering to apologise during the entire thing when I kept asking for a refund. I placed my order at 9.45pm with you and gave all my details.....Please tell me any restaurant who would take an order with no contact number or address and still prepare the food, I’m sorry but no restaurant would do this!!! I placed my order over the phone gave my address and phone number and then me and my partner waited and gave you up to an hour and half to deliver and then when we tried to contact you you were closed. It’s a shame because I have always visited the restaurant and recommended Viceroy but after the poor service I received I won’t be returning. Food was good. Service was poor. Poor communication. Birthday party - 14 people We waited 35 minutes for orders to be taken - then we had to ask. Starters took a further 45 minutes to come out. We then Waited a further 55 minutes for the main… we kept asking servers who were avoiding eye contact with us when we were trying to get their attention. Our ‘hot’ plates were stone cold by the time the food arrived. After 2 hours we had to ask for a toddlers food to come because they were actually shouting hungry.
